And on the third day, Lord Ji smote the plumbing system and asbestos rained down from the sky. There was great wailing and gnashing of teeth throughout the arena.

I mentioned this in the other thread but John Wall is averaging 24 pts,10 assists and 4 steals a game on 47% shooting. Not only is the ROY but those are the kind of numbers MVP's put up. Its early though and Gil isnt here to take shots away from Wall but Wall is doing better in his first NBA season so far than Lebron.

Its early though

With any luck, this game won't be cancelled and I'll go...

For me, it comes down to whether or not we'll be able to keep from being completely killed under the boards, particularly on the defensive end. If our bigs go to sleep after their shots, we can probably kiss a win goodbye. If things go bad at the start, our young guys absolutely must keep their heads up and focus on the task at hand.

John Wall is obviously the engine that makes this Wiz team run to its maximum efficiency, and if he brings it to the best of his ability, the Wiz may come away with the W.

Must win game. Season's on the line.

Has Ji ever had a winning streak for a game thread? Maybe things are changing for him.

If Gil plays, we can't lose.

The Kicks will be on a b2b that night so that helps. Wall was gimpy after the game last night, we cannot continue to ride him like this all season..

Plus, who knows how long the Knicks have been breathing asbestos? The Wizards should run and gun all night long, and if they get a decent lead, let Hudson run it for awhile.

I actually heard that the Knicks called NJ or some arena in NJ about having the game there. Ji, dont sweat the haterz. I got faith in ya....lol

Hopefully Gil comes back to practice today and gets the start. Kirk moves back to being a great backup guard, and we see who is the better running team between us & the Knicks. If Gil is right then we win but Im guessing that Gil will be the other Gil for the first few games. By that I mean the role playing Gil that we saw in the 1st game or 2 of the Preseason. Thats still not bad as he can pass & hit the open shot but if he came out aggressive then we would win this game

I'll be there with my son....whether the game is played at MSG or Newark Prudential Center or the Meadowlands or Nassau Coliseum or wherever. Go Bullets.

Note: Charlie Sheen is expected to attend. (According to the NY papers, when asked why he always pays for hookers, Sheen replied, "I don't pay for sex. I pay for them to leave.")

Yes, not at full contact or speed, I think.

One of the reasons having Wall is so awesome. Wall can do the driving and banging that Gil used to do. Perfects fit with Gil landing shots to 3 range and passing like you said and Wall doing the stuff we worried Gil was slowing down about because of his knee and time off.

We are only going to get better over time. Last nights win was huge. Starting 0-3 would be tough. 1-2 on the way to maybe 2-2 is very different for a young team that needs to believe in themselves.

Gil missing a few games was a blessing in disguise. It gave Wall room and time to advance his game to the NBA level in a short period of time. Now with Wall already adjusted, we more ready to add Gil to open the floor up for both.

New York will be coming into a back to back while we will be rested after getting more practice time for Flip to run the film and fix some things.

Looking forward to 2-2 heading into the CLE game at home. Then three more days rest.

Our schedule has been pretty good to start the season while we get settled in.

I'm happy to see Booker and Martin already going crunch time minutes. Flip trusts them already. Thats a great sign. That adds depth we needed. Now we just need to see if we can find a few minutes to get Seraphin going because we all now we need the muscle in the post. I just hope we run into a blow out so we can get him out there sooner.

Getting a win here would be nice since the Knicks are the team I see us battling for the 8th seed with.
