Hammers: Bobcats @ Nets

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Thu Nov 4, 2010 1:45 am

Gold = Wallace
Pushed the pace, made things happen when no one else could.

Silver = Boris
Looking much better offensively so far this season.

Bronze = Nazzy
Take away the 3 fouls in 3 mins to start the game and he had a pretty good night. Did a good job defending Lopez too.

3 - Wallace
2 - Diaw
1 - S-Jax

I know Jax was God awful over the first 43 minutes of the game but the final 5 minutes is where we won it. Jax hits those two HUGE three point shots then with an assist on Diaw's big 3 which wiped out the Nets 10 point lead in just 2 minutes.

HM goes to Nazr for being very productive in the 4th but I have to give the final hammer to S-Jax because he played 44 minutes and helped turned the momentum down the stretch with those 2 huge threes. Sorry Nazy but you played well in your limited time on the court.

DJ is now 3 sh*ts out of 4. :clap: Won't be long now before we either make a trade for a new starting point or we give Livingston an opportunity to play extended minutes. I'm starting to see a little bit of life in Shaun who's basically going through training camp now......come on buddy......we desperately need ya! I cannot take seeing anymore this passive runt we have at the point. :noway:

At least we won. 8-)

Haha, exactly.

Want to trade us Diop for him on December 15th?

DJ played excellently considering his shot was off. He hit Boris over and over for good shots. Yet you praise Jackson the ballstopping turnover machine. I love Jackson but he's playing like an idiot so far this year. DJ doesn't have the 2 luxuries that most PGs who have a lot of assists get:

1. he doesn't have a guy that can come off a curl/screen and hit a shot. Jackson would rather catch, pump fake, hold the ball for 7 seconds, slow crossover, and shoot the contested 3.

2. he only has 1 runner on the fast break when playing with the starters. Jackson and Boris make no effort on the break so usually DJ breaks out only to find him and Wallace are the only guys really trying.

The only guy the Bobcats should be trying to move right now is Jackson. I'd say Diaw but its obvious Tyrus isn't ready to start.

Silver: Diaw

Bronze: Nazr

Really close between Nazr and DJ for the Bronze. Cannot argue with those who gave DJ the Bronze.

Crash
Doris - way to go not passing up open looks and making key threes
DJ - made key free throws, and although he didn't score much, he had a pretty good all around game, notice 0 turnovers (with 7 assists) that's very good to say the least

HMs
Nazr was effective but too many his fouls were "And one"s; good rebounding though
Jax was crucial in 4th quarter, but too little too late to get bronze
Diop I kind of wanted to nominate if for nothing else then for And one action :) Oh and shoving Harris out of his way was priceless:)

Same.

If DJ had just hit 3 or 4 of his J's then he would have been a lock for the bronze - heck, he probably would have moved into Silver.

DJ would've had to drop about 30 for me to accept the fact he got completely toasted by Devin Harris most of the 4th quarter. That guy got to the rim any time he wanted and being that one of our other guys had to come in to help since he got right by DJ without any issues, it left others open for easy dunks/finishes.

I hope LB can find a way to make DJ into an OK defensive PG. Size has nothing to do with it. Chris Paul is what, 5'10"? He's got no problem being a top defender at his position.
