Any one think we have interest in him? I would like to see us pick him up and use him in the same role Sammy Morris was in last year.

For all intents and purposes, Alexander is dead. He no longer has the speed or agility to be anything more than an emergency back. That he couldn

Sammy Morris is a better running back at this point than Alexander is. So is Laurence Maroney and so is Kevin Faulk.

I'll pass unless Morris' injury is more serious than I thought (I thought he was going to be fine for this year?).

Even if Morris' injury was more severe than is being reported, there are far more productive backs out there for the taking. The Patriots could easily find equivalent talent in the third round on during the draft.

Why can't Sammy Morris play the role of Sammy Morris this year?

Didn't that seem to work out better than Shaun Alexander last year?

We don't need Alexander at all, he's a turnover waiting to happen everytime he touches the ball.

Shaun Alexander to the Bengals sounds like one of those great homecoming stories, given that he grew up just across the river from Cincinnati in Kentucky. But why do I get the feeling that if it happens it'll wind up reminding us of Emmitt Smith in Arizona or Eddie George in Dallas?

Maybe because those were two of the most recent examples of great running backs who we knew were done before they knew they were done.
