Utah's Big 3 are better than Miamis. (Meaningless stats!)

Post#1 » by Xsy » Thu Nov 4, 2010 8:12 pm

Stats this early are dumb, but they're always fun, so here they are anyway.

Based off Utah's 4 games, and Miami's 5, obviously.

Utah's Big 3:
Pts: 57.3
Rbds: 24.1
Asts: 14.6
Stl: 2
Blk: 1.75
TO: 5.5
PF: 9.8

Miami's Big 3:
Pts: 55.8
Rbds: 16
Asts: 13
Stl: 4
Blk: 2.8
TO: 9
PF: 6.8

The only thing Miami's 3 does better than Utah's 3 is steal, block, and get favorable calls by the refs. But that's no surprise.

Here's to hoping this keeps up!

 Ah. If only miami would look at this stat and offer us a trade. Bosh really has been struggling to find his role in Miami, I kind of thought he would be a bad fit with wade and lebron though.

Love it! Miami doesn't stand a chance.

I'm surprised Millsap is one of big 3. I expected it to be Williams and Jefferson out front, then Millsap and Kirilenko taking the second tier. At this rate, I don't think Okur will be our third option like he normally is when he comes back. We could be crazy deep if he can contribute this season.

This doesnt take into effect the referee whistle. Who will get the benifit of the doubt in a match up? Miamis big three.

Cant wait until tues. I am tired of seeing my team whoop teams by 20 plus points.. I actually think the Jazz will be a challenge for Miami on Tuesday.

Miami's only better than Utah in steals and blocks-- both plays that are very much determined by how the refs are feeling. :d

In Miami's defense, they have better defense. They let teams score 88, while Utah's letting teams score 106.8.

Against teams like Miami Jefferson becomes invaluable. I don't think anybody can guard him on Miami and he'll really slow the game down which is great because from what I've seen Miami does most of their damage on the break. I'm worried about the third quarter though, it's the Jazz's weakest quarter and Miami's strongest.

I have to say Dwayne Wade would fit in nicely on the Jazz.

Raja Bell, the Kobe Killer, and Kirilenko.

His numbers haven't been great but he's been improving each game as he gets used to they system. Nobody can guard Bron and Wade. Williams-Bell-Kirilenko is a good defensive backcourt but I don't expect them to do much against those two. Making them go iso in a half-court set is Utah's best bet IMO, should be a great game.

Wade will have a big game and LeBron a very good one. I predict we'll be frustrated with the ease of many of their baskets. I do think Jefferson and Millsap will abuse Bosh. And I'd certainly hope Deron can take advantage of the gift that is being guarded by Carlos Arroyo.

I think Miami will put Wade on Williams.

Of course, you're right. Bell isn't too tough a cover for Carlos. Silly that it didn't occur to me.

This thread got way too serious. We're going to get beat. Our big three are nowhere near Miami's.

But it will be cool to see our strengths matchup with their weaknesses. I mean, they have no point guard or center: our two best players play point guard and center. And I hope Millsap bullies Bosh.

I have no idea how Bell, Miles, and AK are going to handle James and Wade. Elite swingmen that drive tend to tear up the Jazz defense every single year. I expect more of the same. I wonder how much the rookies are going to be able to play against those superstars. I would be so wide-eyed matching up against one of them in my rookie year.

Gordon played his best during Preseason Lakers. Maybe he'll get that mindset again.
