the only thing i don't like about this is you'll have idiots claim we're not over losing lebron and this video response proves that. and maybe some aren't over him yet (and they probably never will be), but the majority of cavs fans i know are over him are onboard with the next chapter of the cavaliers organization.

good rebuttal video but i think we should just avoid responding to anything lebron at this point. it brings us down to his level

I agree, and I hesitated to post this because of that, but it was a pretty nice put together video. And I figured it'd be on the General Board in like 15 min anyway with everyone blasting us for still cryin about it.

In other news, Christmas Ale is on sale now! wooooo

Listen, LeBron James created this commercial to pose a question to fans/critics and also attempted to the play the victim. That video - answers those questions and I like the response

I disagree.

Why should we get over it or, worse, pretend that we're over it? So, some 16 year old in his mom's basement on a message board won't tell us to get a life when he can't think of any other way to justify what this d-bag did? I'm a grown man with a real life and 10,000 priorities that come before the nba, but I'm going to openly admit that the 5-10 minutes per week I spend thinking about professional basketball (or talking about it with colleagues) are not spent talking about how we might squeak out 35 wins this year; they are spent hoping that dude loses and suffers public humiliation. I don't see any reason to forget what happened or forgive him, especially since he hasn't apologized or asked for forgiveness.

And then you add to that that Lebron and now Nike are trying to make us (the people of Cleveland) the villain, and it only fuels the fire. This is an old PR trick--- there are three v's in every media story--- the victim, the villain, and the vindicator. Nike's trying to transform Lebron from villain to victim, while trying to make those who called him out (i.e., us) the villain because we tried to "make him be who we wanted him to be." (Nike apparently is also trying to be the vindicator as it rides to the rescue). Well played, Nike. Nice to see that someone passed his PR101 course, but f that.

Sorry, Lebron, but Cleveland is not going to be who you want us to be. You want us to shut up and sit down because we're ruining your brand and your marketing campaigns. Maybe you should just get over it, Lebron, realize that your name is mud, and stop trying to sway public opinion in your favor to save your brand. In other words, just get over it and play basketball. This city isn't the shut up and sit down type and it certainly isn't the forgive and forget type.

So, are we going to be who they want us to be or are we going to be who we are? I'm going to continue to be who we are as long as an a-hole like Lebron exists who thinks he can make whatever "decision" he wants without consequences. And besides, he picked this fight. Nike made that stupid commercial and it was clearly aimed at Cleveland. Is Cleveland not entitled to answer? Nike got one rule of PR right, but forgot another: never ask a question you don't want the answer to. Nike asked the question.... we just answered it. Ask another question and we'll answer again.

This video is well done and is an awesome response. I hope it gets 100,000,000 views on yt.

There.... that's my 5 to 10 minutes for the week.

LeBron actually had a good response when he said "it as good, although they could have done a better job". It's about time he learned to laugh some of this stuff off.

I dont understand this, you guys are all adults who all have jobs. No offense but if your boss continually just hired a bunch of slackers around you, and made you do all the work even though you knew that you would never advance in the company would you still want to work there?? I highly doubt it. If another Job opportunity came around and someone offered you a chance to advance of course your going to jump on it. Im not saying the way he handled it was the best but to call this guy a Vilan and all the things i've constantly heard about him is a little unfair. When the Celtics big three came together they were considered "Great guys coming together for one common purpose to win a title" what kind of crap two way standard is that? so because Lebron was smarter and decided to leave 5 years previous hes a bad guy i dont buy it.
The purpose of this post isnt to diss on Cleveland fans i just want to know how you guys dont understand that? Im a die hard kings fan and if one day Tyreke became a full blown Superstar and did that to us i would be extremely pissed.. But i wouldnt the next day come out and say all those bad things about the guy i would understand, most guys get less than ten good years in the NBA if they wanna take advantage of it so be it.

That is not the case should I name all the great players Cavs traded for? Do I really have to do that?

Oh and the rest of your post, obviously Celtics big 3 left in a different fashion. They all came out of different situations, etc.

another apologist, if you'd even watch the video your answer is in there. I could care less if Lebron left just don't be a dick about it. He was a dick so he gets what he gets. That being said, Clevelanders never forget so to say that we actually have is a bit disingenuous.

No matter where you go in the NBA there are risks. Frankly it's not a given that Lebron will win a championship and that is the only thing he hadn't done in a Cavs uniform. Frankly, if he doesn't win one this year, he's a straight up failure.

The idiotic argument about this is that the Cavs could somehow unilaterally make a team send them a great player. It's just an argument that has no basis in fact and frankly you'd have to be pretty dumb to believe or use. It's not like great players are bandied about regularly in the NBA or any sport other than baseball.

How do you say it was put together well? The video Cleveland shot was a joke and thye are looking like clowns for that. They wasted money on the commercial and Lebron got money lol, so how was it smart. Also an 18 yr old said that he was going to bring a championship to your city and you guys believed he could do it alone. I don't know about you but I cannot believe anything a teenager says because they change all the time as you can see now that he has grown and mature. Again I do agree with the way he put an hour long special and didn't tell you guys until then was out of line. But you and i both know you woulda been just as mad if he did had told you guys back in June that he wasn't coming back. One more thing the commercial only shows that most Cleveland people that hate Lebron are white and that's not a good look for you.

A teenager? Wasn't LeBron 23 and 24 when he made those remarks? That might be a teenager to you though.

btw, cut the racist element to the dislike of Lebron. While I dont hate Lebron I do think he's an ass and I'm not white. The vast majority of non whites in Cleveland think he's an ass as well.

I do agree that people would have been disappointed knowing Lebron was leaving, but that would have been okay had he not had the decision on television and if he'd not quit against Boston.

These Heat bandwagon apologists are some of the most annoying people ever. It's interesting how little interest this whole situation would have had if they along with Lebron would just shut up.

LeBron made those championship comments within the last couple of years, not when he was a teenager. Also, I work in downtown Akron and a majority of my coworkers are non-white. Guess what? They ALL hate LeBron too and feel like he ran not only Cleveland, but his hometown into the ground as well. Please don't come in here and act like you know more about the situation than us, when you CLEARLY don't. At least get your facts straight KHARA.

Just go away. Most of us dont really care at this point. Your opinion doesnt matter, go post it where there are others like you who think that you do matter. And, try using paragraphs in your rants, I know it must be difficult for you but I have faith that in some time with a little effort you will be able to master that skill. Good luck with that.
I wonder why a Kings fan with some good talent on his team isnt more focused on what they are doing? Making pointless posts on our board seems to serve no purpose other than to instigate an argument with our fan base. For the record, when Lecon just shuts up and plays and people like you quit (like Lecon?) coming here to talk about him you will see the threads about him off the first page.
