Wright arrested for DUI

The DUI train strikes again! What is going on with this team?

The Sacramento Kings tonight issued a statement acknowledging that Antoine Wright (left) was arrested this morning on suspicion of driving under the influence in Rocklin.

"We are extremely disappointed in the situation Antoine has created for himself and the organization," Kings' president of basketball operations Geoff Petrie said in the statement. "There certainly has been no shortage of education and/or resources made available to our players in regard to these types of dangerous behaviors. We will, however, respect his right of due process at this time."

The statement also included an apology from Wright, a forward guard who wears No. 3: "I'm sorry for having gotten myself into this situation. I sincerely apologize to my teammates and coaches, the Sacramento Kings organization, the Sacramento community and fans and my family."

Wright, 26, is a five-year veteran who played in college at Texas A&M.

It is well known that the willingness to drive drunk is a pre-requisite to work for the Kings organization, what's the big deal?

Up until last week, I always thought Antoine Wright was Dominic McGuire. True story

Good time/excuse to cut him loose. He's really not all that necessary for the roster and there are plenty of talented D-League options for his seat behind the bench.

You see it more in this area because it's a HUGE money maker for a cash strapped state/counties/cities in this area. they have to make up for the loss of property tax revenue, and how better than a basically unchallengable offense that doesn't actually harm the job of the person nailed?

It happens in every sports city, they just have better things to talk about crime-wise than BS like this.

Anyhow, if they are going to cut him loose, they should just activate HW or PJ to get some run time in the second quarters of games.

Probly because it's boring in Sac but that's no excuse. It's a real shame this happened- this guy isn't helping himself either.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on Wright.
