Seems that the old man is slowly allowing him to actually play the point rather than just bring the ball up then hand it off - which is a good thing.

Say all the mean things you want about LB but DJ has just been pitiful on defense in all the minutes I've watched the Cats thus far, and not much of a leader on offense.

Another unique crapper of a game for DJ. This time he managed to avoid the paint for his first 26 minutes of playing time. How is that possible for the little runt? I'm still waiting for this clown to become aggressive and TAKE IT TO THE HOLE. Hello?? You're a POINT GUARD, get your ass into the lane and make sh*t happen, especially when down 20!! Oh my f'ing lord I couldn't believe what I was watching. I've never seen a starting NBA point guard so passive. It's no wonder why LB yanked his ass in the second after only one minute. He was yelling at him too.

New nickname for DJ. "He" is now She-J

battery... we get you dont like dj, but of all the things for you to focus your anger on tonight, dj not driving into the paint seems like it should be really low on the list. maybe you can vent about some of these other topics.

1. 22 turnovers
2. prince posting our entire team up in the first
3. wallace playing at 50%
4. nazr invisible again and benched for entire second half
5. tyrus benched in favor of ups
6. bigs not rotating on defense
7. 22 TURNOVERS!!!
8. giving up 32 in the first quarter

1. We would not have 22 turnovers if our point guard was able to get into the lane and create easy shots for everyone else. When you're not aggressive, everyone stands around and becomes "slow-brained" A quick thinking aggressive point guard wills his team to make quicker decisions, like moving without the ball where you're getting into position to either score or set up another teammate. One of the reasons why Chris Paul is so great, is his aggressiveness which leads to a chain reaction where other players suddenly pick up their pace.
2.Prince hurt us, but he only ended up with 14 points 4 rebs while a crappy Wallace ended up with 13-5
3.He hurt us I admit that, especially on one sequence I think it was in the second when he just lazily jogged down the court watching the Pistons get an easy layup. That I thought was the most pathetic showing on defense in this game. But again, this goes back to DJ or whoever is at the point...slow unaggressive play by your point leads to your teammates standing around watching and falling asleep.
4.He is what he is, not a starter and he's 80 years old
5.He is what he is, not a starter
6.Boris was awful in this game
7.Sorry but I can't blame Jax, he was the only aggressive player out there all night. If everyone played with his aggressiveness we would have easily won this game
8.Horrible, but again, this goes back to being aggressive and really wanting it on each possession. Too much sloppiness and standing around. A good point guard would have taken it upon himself to up the tempo and make things happen

9.There was a reason why LB yanked DJ, he's trying to light a fire in his lame sluggish ass.

So Crash playing in third gear is because DJ's wasn't aggressive?

eh? When did this happen?

DJ played the whole 1st half then was pulled after getting his 2nd foul with 7 seconds left in the 1st quarter. He then only played 55 more secs in the second quarter before being bulled the final 42 seconds of the half to avoid a cheap 3rd foul. He started the second half and played until 3:20 left in the 3rd when he got his 4th foul on a dubious offensive foul call, LB was upset at this point but it was clearly directed at the Ref. He came back in at 9:46 in the 4th and played the rest of the game.

If DJ was aggressive, Crash would have been more into the game because the pace would have been quicker. When the pace is quicker, players tend to make quicker decisions instead of standing around and falling asleep. We need a quicker thinking more aggressive point guard because we don't have a team filled with spot up shooters who are used to camping out on the perimeter. Our perimeter guys are athletic so they need to see things moving at a much quicker pace in order to get them going.

I'm talking about the 2nd quarter. LB put his lame ass back in the game (2nd quarter with 1:30 left) to SHOOT THE BALL. He didn't sit him on the bench the entire 2nd quarter only to put him back with 1:30 left to give the ball up to Wallace who ended up making a bad pass. After that LB took him out and when DJ was walking to the bench LB was yelling at him.

TT would need to get stronger, bulk up.He doesn't have the size to finish on his isos/1 on 1s like Amare does.Amare uses his body very effectively, his size and strength allows him to get off his shot with body contact, something TT can't do.Perfect example would be that 1 on 1 play he made on Hibbert the other night,if he was bulky and strong enough he would've scored on that move, but his lack of strength and bulk allowed Hibbert to close in on him and block his shot.
