I think he's already being forgotten about to an extent and his role on the team ain't gonna cut it in terms of maintaining any real trade value.

In yesterday's bad loss to the Cleveland LeGones, Philadelpia 'Ers coach Doug "Woozy" Collins chose to start Grandpa Tony Battie over Spencer "SH" Hawes in the second half. As a fan of both Sam and the 'Ers I couldn't fail to note the symmetry in the facts that the same day that I hear that Little Hatee will be starting for the Sacs, DC benches Haweful in favor of the ballin' equivalent of Grandpa Simpson.

That's unfair to Tony B., but you get my point.

On topic, Philadelphia is DESPERATE for a big, them suckers will take whatever you got, marketable or not. If they're breathin' they could be leavin'.

Can we send them an autographed picture of Kenny Thomas? Sure the autograph will be fake...it might not even be spelled right...but it IS an autographed Kenny Thomas photo and that has to have some value!
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

COUSINS easily should be getting more playing time IMO .
I would sray at least 8 more minutes per game average than what he has been playing now .
I notice at time PW will take him out just as he is finding his rythm in games .
Once he gets more minutes he will start adapting better to other players & teams whay of play he will become are far , far better overall player .

When the trade deadline comes i think its inevitable we will see either Landry or J.thompson traded i think that decision will be based on if they can get Landry resigned without overspending as well as weather or not J.thompson matures or not he still argues all calls with refs & therefor he doesnt grow into the way of nba life . He could be dealt just like SPENCE did because after this year he has a qualifying offer just as LANDRY is a free agent after this season. Decisions , Decisions .....

I think Paul takes him out because usually by that point he has at least two fouls.

Even Cousins thinks it's a good idea...nuff said!

yep! I don't think Cousins is ready.

I don't know, from some of the crunch time play we've seen out of him so far I'd say he is.

I don't know what the deal was on that but if there was an option it's already passed. Smarter to not extend him anyway, let the market set his price tag and then move forward. The Kings will have more loot than just about any other team moving forward so we make our own destiny and don't need to worry about Bird years, exceeding the cap, etc. Also leaves him as a nice trade chip in a "no strings attached" kind of way for a team looking for immediate help to make run deep into the playoffs.

Before I throw my 2 cents out there i would like to say Im one of the biggest Cousins supporters out there.

However, in the games I have watched so far this season he really does not deserve to start. He has been rushing his offense and taking bad shots. Not getting great position in the post either. He seems lazy on defense and sometimes disinterested almost. He has not been rebounding the ball well so far, often times out of position. Very foul prone so far, and sometimes they are just dumb fouls that he could have avoided. I have no doubts he is going to be a special player and he is still adjusting to the NBA game, but he has no business starting over Dally right now IMO.
