SIDE NOTE
Pau originally did not want to make sports his career.

On the day that Magic Johnson announced his HIV-positive status in 1991,
the 11-year-old Gasol, who had heard the news in school,
decided that he wanted to be a doctor and find a cure for AIDS.

He enrolled in medical school at the University of Barcelona.

-2 TIME NBA CHAMPION

-An AMBASSADOR FOR UNICEF

- Planning on completing his medical degree after basketball

BEST BIG MAN IN THE GAME TODAY.

Is there anything Pau doesn't do?

I knew that beating the celtics last finals was extra special for gasol....garnet is probably one of his greatest peers since he entered the league and the celtics are kinda the team that labeled gasol soft.

What a great basketball player and an even better person. How lucky are we to have him fall into out lap

Pau Gasol. We're fortunate that his ego is pretty nonexistent. Yin to Kobe's yang.

There was a really cool story that came out last year about Pau visiting various west coast hospitals and watching surgeries and what not and I believe visiting some of the terminal patients. He's one heck of a guy and I think that's why Kobe and Phil and the whole Lakers organization likes him so much.

Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!
