Yeah that was the main report, also that Wilf has been upset with some of his coaching decisions for some time now.

They then went into rehash the Moss situation and Keyshawn basically defended Moss saying that it wasn't his fault he didn't know how dysfunctional the situation he was getting into was.

Tom Jackson was saying that it didn't excuse his actions.

Then Keyshawn and Tom got in a bit of a shouting match :P

Apparently some players told Ed Werder that they wished Chilly has been fired last week and they hoped he would be fired this week regardless of a win or loss.

Odds the vikings tank this game? 3-1?

Sadly a tank job might not be enough against Derek Anderson.

Vikings coach Brad Childress should have already coached his last game in the opinion of some Minnesota players.

And amid the chaos, Vikings owner Zygi Wilf has been soliciting opinions from veteran players regarding how much support remains for Childress.

One veteran said: "I think there was a great window of opportunity this past week to make a change."

That player says the issues are the same as in recent years but have become more intolerable because of the team's 2-5 record. He says Childress has never been popular in the locker room.

One player described Childress as untrustworthy. Another said: "The players have had enough of his BS. He needs to go."

The erosion of support for Childress isn't merely the fallout from the coach's decision to abruptly cut Randy Moss. In fact, Childress said Vikings players agreed with him, saying many current players told him in recent days they would have lost all respect for him if nothing was done.

"This might be the eruption that awakens us," Childress said.

But another veteran player has his doubts, saying, "It's so crazy around here that no one would even believe it outside the building."

Favre says hope remains but just barely.

"I believe the guys on this team are committed to turning it around. But if you lose another game or two that you've got one foot in the parking lot," Favre said.

Some Vikings players believe he definitely will be fired if the underachieving Vikings lose to the Arizona Cardinals and some cling to the hope he will be even if they win.

Childress has said he has always made decisions with a what's-best-for-the-team mentality and downplays internal criticism, saying "there are adversaries or perceived adversaries in most all 32 NFL locker rooms."

As for Favre, he indicated that he might be done soon unless the Vikings start winning, saying: "There's still hope for us. If I thought there was no hope, I'd sit down."

Seems to me that while Childress certainly isn't helping matters, Wilf is really the crux of the Vikes organizational dysfunction. Firing Childress certainly won't change that, and my guess is that they're going to continue having these kind of problems. Maybe even more so if they bring in somebody really good.

The only way this gets more awesome, is if Favre blows up at Chilly on the sideline.

Living in Minny, the state really does have a pre world series red sox vibe to it, and most fans I know always have that fear that a stadium won't be financed and the Vikings will end up in LA some day... These sentiments have been around for AT LEAST the last 4-5 years, and those were decent years, and I can vouch that they only seem to become stronger when the team struggles. For whatever reason it seems like a team that always needs to prove that it is doing something and will be good. Being as much of MN hates chilly, I think much of this is Wilf being a **** owner but also attempting to galvanize his fans a bit.

Per a league source, the Vikings organization feared that the presence of Randy Moss was making Percy Harvin into another Randy Moss.

The duo became inseparable not long after Moss arrived in October. "They were the new Batman and Robin," the source said. "The new T.O. and Ochocinco."
