Man oh man did you guys dodge a bullet

You guy are lucky that Kurt Rambis did not stay with you guys to take over from Jackson when he leaves.

He is honestly one of the worst coaches I have ever seen.

LOL. He's hardly the issue in Minnesota.

I don't think running the triangle after being an assistant coach under Phil for 3 seasons is a great idea to begin with and yeah Rambis is a terrible coach.

Phil after all those years with the Bulls and lakers still tries to get Tex Winter's inputs and presence for training camps.

Unless Rambis took to the offense like a genius I guess its a terrible idea to implement it there. Even Kevin Love complained about not knowing the sets after an year and half into the offense.

I agree it is a bad roster, however it does have some strengths that can be exploited to at least stay in games and occasionally take a game away from a sleeping team.

Rambis however has no clue what he is doing with rotations, match ups or in game tactics. His rotations are based entirely on a per minute scale instead of who is playing well or not well. He will routinely go with five guys on the court that are our 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th guy on the bench and leave them in a game for 8-10 minutes despite the fact they are getting obliterated by the other teams starting five (he normally does this in the second quarter when the game is at least in reach too which makes it even worse).

This is not a talent issue, we should not be winning these games to begin with, the issue is the clear and utter confusion of the players as to what their role is. It is 6 games into the season and Rambis has allready lost half of them. They just don't care for him and you can see it in their body language when he talks to them.

Also, I doubt he'd have ever been the coach here because Kobe would not have wanted him.

Kurt was great for us in 2009.

Were most of his coaching duties was focused as the defensive coordinator .
We went 65-17 that season. Sweeping Boston and Cleveland in the season series.

I look at Kurt's situation in Minnesota as the same as Tom Thibodeau in Chicago.

INSTEAD of DERRICK ROSE you got luke ridnour.
AN instead of JOAHKIM NOAH and CARLOS BOOZER you got Kevin Love and darko millicic. LMAO.

I would blame more the players than the coach .
Nonetheless when it's all said and done, it's always gonna reflect on the Coach.

OP you're so so off base, you clearly forgot that Kurt coached here on two different occasions. Had Kurt stayed here we wouldn't have missed a beat, it's a reason he's running the Tri in Minny. He's comfortable with what Phil has taught him.

That said I knew Kurt shouldn't have taken that job, the talent just isn't there. The Sacto job would've suited him better because they have a good young nucleus, they just couldn't agree on the length of the contract.

i think minny has a huge problem with their draft picks. we look at teams like okc and portland.. where good draft picks have really helped the young teams grow into great teams.

terrible picks.. obviously hindsight is 20-20 but dude rubio, flynn, and ty lawson? and u trade away arguably the best outta those three?.. flynns whatever.. And u think a high profile youngster that is known world-wide (rubio).. wants to go to minnesota? i dont think so.
u draft wesley johnson.. who i think can become a real stud, but whyd u get martell then? and u drafted corey brewer.. hmm..there are other problems, but it starts with the draft.. cuz when u suck u get high draft picks. its what u do with the picks that help determine ur future.

it is hardly rambis' fault.. except dude play Love 40 minutes a game plzz.. hes a hustle machine!

its always the players before the coach, who actually step on the court to make it happen. a coach can only tell what to do, but its the player who gets it done.

Rambis might get fired and get a nice fat paycheck to walk away or get his salary for the next few years without having to do anything.

Clippers are famous for that. I think they are still paying 5 different coaches...lol

Well you'll get to see for yourself next game when you beat us by 40+ points. Sacramento are lucky as well that they couldn't work it out. Evans would have played 24 minutes or less under Rambis and not developed the way he did. Cousins this year would average around 12 minutes under Rambis.
