If I were EG, I would trade Nick Young for a top 32 protected first round pick as soon as possible.

I don't think he's a bad kid, dumb but not bad, but he has been here too long and that old immature environment isn't going away.

Damn, I forgot he was jobless. This is one of the rare times in the NBA that somebody who is jobless is actually good. We need to snatch him up. Even if you think EG is a good GM, you gotta snatch Pritchard up before someone else does.

He does need to grow into that roll but he is signed for the foreseeable future so it's nice to see him stepping up. He may never end up a KG type start but he can be a solid star type player. Upside is still yet to be determined.

Most of Dray bone headed moves are things of the past. Except for a few bumps with Flip, Dray has been trending upward for a while now.

Two years ago he changed his number and announced the 7DD
Last year he broke out after we move the vet
Last summer he was hitting the weights and putting in another good summer but he got injured.
Now he is stepping up try to be more of a leader by calling a "wake up" meeting

If people forget his less then stellar start, Dray is looking like a viable longer term piece.

This is a group of guys Wall, Gil, Howard, Kirk and Dray plus some interesting less know pieces that seem to be the right type in Booker, Seraphin, Martin, Hudson and AT. I would even add Armstrong as the right type of character even if people question his place and value. Yi seems like an ok dude but he just isn't living up to what we need which is more experienced bigs. Move him to SF and I think he may look more valuable.

The problem for me is the maturity and consistency of McGee and Young more than anything. In time I think McGee will get it. Nick is the biggest question. So talented but so on and off.

I think we have the players to be a solid team that can be good and get better. We just need some time to get there. But we know that coming into the season.

Steady as we go.

Would agree that there is a "world" of difference between the French league and the NBA? I'd like to see how Kevin does out there, If he can snagg some rebounds for us and bang a bit, that would be great.

Maybe, never seen French league play, but he can't be much worse than Yi in rebounding (2.4 / 20mins :-? ) . I read he sets good picks too and likes physical play (unlike bigs that have got playing time so far (apart Booker)).

I look at the Nick and Thorton situation and it really makes me nod my head to this coach. Hinrich plays terrible and he stays on the floor. Thorton and Nick plays good and they get pulled to never see the floor again. What kind of crap is that!! He talks too much and has lost the respect of the team. He complains to the media about what a certain player does wrong and how he's never had that problem with Garnett. Garnett this and Garnett that!! Well maybe he shouldn't have taken this job and waited for the opportunity to coach the Celtics.

If it wasn't for Flip's brain fart substitutions they would have won the last game. I wonder what was going through Thornton's mind as Flip walked out of practice.
