Twitts foul on Lebron

Post#1 » by demens » Mon Nov 8, 2010 2:44 pm

There is an article that talks about how he might get fined for this foul  .

Its by that fool Heat writer Ira something, Heat fans love, but how ridiculous is that! His rational that even though it wasn't even a dirty play Twitt should get fined because after the game he said that when guys are throwing behind the back passes and dunking on you, you need to do something about it. And now NBA has no choice but to fine him. Whhhaaaat? Between this and heat commentators calling for a flagrant i cant help but LMAO. This is more pathetic then the NFL QB rules. If the NBA fines Twitt for this its more of a joke then i thought. I usually defend Stern with his attempt to clean up and improve the league, even the new Tech rule seems to have settled down a bit, but if they fine him for this they might as well make Lebron untouchable, call flagrants, and toss people from the game for standing too close to him.

And also, i hate Twitts game and he has never really showed any toughness, but BRAVO for saying and doing what he did. Even though i think that was really Averys words coming out of him but it doesn't matter. I was beyond irritated when Wade went for that dunk and instead alley ooped it to Lebron, that was a globetrotters, no self respecting team should allow something like that. And Twitt was right there on that play too, im glad he was the one to come back and do something after.

And the most important part is that the foul was not dirty in any way whatsoever.

I didn't see it but Lebron agreed that is wasn't dirty.

Good to see someone step up and put someone on their ass.

Here's a Youtube link of the foul: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKEH_2KJ5YQ

This is ridiculous. The commentators are talking about flagrant 2 fouls for a bump. If LeBron wants to run into the stands, because of a nudge, let him run. Run all the way to Newark and put on a Nets jersey so that we can save our season...To get back to the play, that should have just been a personal foul and that's it.

That wasnt as bad as the unnecessary roughness call they gave the Eagles when the dudes thumb grazed the back of Mannings helmet in the 4th quarter on a 4th and 18. If they would have lost that game I would have stopped watching sports.

Uh... Lebron shoulder charges people all the time. He commits some of the most blatant offensive fouls I have ever seen but gets away with it time and time again.

This is what is wrong with the nba today. That foul could have been a flagrant foul and I would not have been shocked. And these comments are by typical biased announcers/journalists. Didn't you know better than to read and listen to that garb. The YES channel is better than most when it comes to unbiased commentating.

And I felt there should have been more hard fouls. There were way to many layups, dunks, and easy baskets because of poor defense. We need a Scott Skiles like coach and get a much tougher team out there. I thought Avery would bring it, but not so far.

BTW Lebron and Wade were much more aggressive when they were up by 20 than when they were down in the 1st quarter. They were just trying to put on a show for the fans. It just goes to show you what LeBron and Wade really care about. Those guys are entertainers not competitors. And those fans only go to games to see their team blow people out and have highlight plays. I hate this Heat team so much. Far different from the Mourning, Hardaway, and Mashburn days. Im glad to see someone from this Nets team to say that I have had enough.

PS They pwnd brook lopez. Embarrassing. Hope he learns his lesson.

It's ok man. Notice that every team that showboats and has too much fun ends up losing anyway regardless of what their record is. Only the teams that truly take the game seriously all of the time win. We can make fun of Kobe when he puts on his playoff "game face" but he doesn't play around like these guys do.

I stopped watching after the unnecessary roughness call on Collie in the 2nd quarter. I felt bad for him and I wish him the best but he just received a good hit. It's embarrassing that the NFL has become this bad. I think they want to see scores go up like when the NBA eliminated hand checking.

Twill dipped his shoulder, knew he wanted to make contact and did...LBJ was off balanced, did not expect the contact in that manner...and ran off into the stands after the collision...Twill didnt intend to hurt the LBJ, but didnt really make a play for the ball...so you get a breakaway foul with play starting in the backcourt...

I was fine with the foul, hard fouls are not something we see every day in the NBA...at least not anymore...You saw LBJ's reaction, he was fine with it...We need to protect our basket and against teams like this we cant let these guys dunk on us all game...

Kris Hump has made some nice efforts in protecting the basket, last night vs the Cavs and the block on DWade...we need to bring the physical defense in the paint, we have the size in under basket, but we're not utilizing the toughness we need in the paint to become more effective in defending the basket...
