Jeff Teague - will he or won't he start for Atlanta soon?

Post#1 » by SportsPg » Wed Nov 10, 2010 2:21 pm

My team needs a lift, Teague was a late round pick I hoped would turn into a sleeper. So far he's just been asleep as Bibby has kept most of the PG production and minutes in Atlanta. Anyone from Atlanta have any thoughts as to whether keeping Teague is worthy? The waiver wire pickings are slim, I have Nash, Mo Williams and Leandro Barbosa as other PG on my roster, so I'd be willing to pick up anyone, not just another PG. I'm just not sure if anyone is out there to take...

Do I hang on to Teague and hope for the best or dump him?

I'm wondering the same thing! He is available on our wire and would like to know what's going on in the ATL!

He'll probably start eventually, but it might be worth dropping him and just keeping up with news about him and bibby and filling that roster spot with someone productive. If you're looking for a pg I would think about picking up kyle lowry who is probably available in your league. Since brooks is out, he'll put up numbers.

Here's what rotoworld said about Teague:

He can safely be dropped until he starts showing us something. Mike Bibby (seven points, five boards, two assist) is not exactly tearing up the charts, however, so Teague is somebody to watch closely this year. He will need to totally implode to not take over the starting job.

Bibby is playing well and Teague isn't, at least offensively, so Teague won't be starting for a while.

It depends how deep your league is and who is on the wire. Teague doesn't look like he'll start anytime soon so he's safe to drop for now if your league isn't too deep.
