That's a really nice defensive lineup. I can't say that I watch much of Iguodala, because who in the hell watches the Sixers, but from the few times I've seen him he looks like he'd be a decent fit alongside CP3. His outside shot is suspect, but I think Paul can get him easy opportunities as long as he moves well off the ball.

Still, Ariza seems to have forgotten how to shoot so I think the Lakers can just pack it in. They aren't going to worry too much about Iguodala on the perimeter, so their only real outside threat is CP3. That might be a problem. I'd probably move Ariza to the bench behind Iguodala so that they have Belinelli out there to open up the floor. He's having a nice season and that just gives them more balance. They'd have a nice 2/3 rotation with Igs/Belinelli/Ariza and I think they'd all get around ~30 MPG.

Having said that, they still can't match up with our FC rotation of Pau/Odom/Bynum (no one can, really). That's what gives us our biggest advantage. If the Hornets want to take out the Lakers they'll need more size to contain our bigs. Okafur was a good start because I think he can pretty much cancel out Bynum, but West can not match up with Pau.

Then there's the bench advantage for the Lakers, which is pretty lop-sided.

The Hornets will be a good team, but I don't think they are legit contenders even with Iguodala. They need to work on their depth a little. Dampier is still out there and I don't know why no one's picked him up yet. He'd be a solid reserve on just about any team.

Who are they planning to trade him for? Peja I presume?

First, I don't think they're ready to give up on Iggy just yet. I think it's best if they run the Iggy-Turner experiment for the season before they decide what they will do. Turner is doing better, but he's hardly at the same level as Iggy. Second, Iggy is more of a SF than a SG. His ballhandling is suspect and he doesn't have the perimeter game to play the 2 full time. He's pretty much an improved version of Ariza. Assuming you do get him, they will be a better team but not a bigger threat to win the West than the Lakers. AI has weaknesses that the current Hornets team doesn't address, and that could bite them in playoff situations.

First and foremost, it depends on what the Hornets give up to get Iguodala. If they give up two starters in order to acquire him, they're not that deep. If/when he gets traded, then we'll worry about it.

The 76ers rejected whatever you guys offered them right? Even though the offer got turned down it shows that you guys are making attempts to get bring in a SG to pair up with Chris Paul and Ariza. I think by the trade deadline you guys could be an improved team if Peja's contract is moved for a SG.

I think the Hornets would be better served getting a few more quality bigs than getting Iggy. Mbenga and Aaron Gray isn't gonna do it.

I respect that but you gotta also realize that CP3 is making Okafor look like a legit big.

I still say we can take em because we have the experience and depth compared to their roster but it would be one competitive match up.

so, Chuck Hayes is ony 6 6' and Bynum has a hard time posting him up.

1. No Bynum doesn't. Unless you are referring to the 2009 playoffs when Bynum was playing hurt.

2. Hayes is one of the better lowpost defenders.

^^^I was just making a point that you dont need a legit 7 foot monster in the paint to be competitive, look at Perkins, he's shorter then KG and he has no problem tossing Pau around and as for Bynum, I'm referring to the regular season as well, where he can't even move Hayes on the low block
