Old Sonic fan may have found a home

Post#1 » by OzSonic » Thu Nov 11, 2010 9:21 pm

I've been in the wilderness for the last few years after losing my team. I've tried to find another team that I can follow but I've never really grabbed hold tight. Over the last few years I've kind of liked the Jazz and watched them a bit. This season I've watched them a fair bit and all I can say is that I think I have found a team I can follow.

I love Williams, been a big fan of Jefferson over the years, Millsap has been a favourite of mine for a while now and I've always admired and had a great deal of respect for Sloan over the years. One thing goes against me though I was never a fan of Malone or Stockton due to the Western Conference rivalry with the Sonics. :P

I think I have finally found my team. If you'll take me I'd love to jump on board. 8-)

I have a bit of respect for anyone like you who isn't glamming onto Miami.

It means you are looking for more than just a team of stars. Not too many folks that would prefer to cheer a lunchbox guy like Millsap over a superstar like Lebron.

Glad to have ya.

Well the win over the primadonnas a couple of days ago pushed me pretty close to the edge. The massive come from behind win against Orlando knocked me over. Heart is always a big way to get my respect clearly the Jazz boys have that and then some.

As long as you aren't an OKC fan, which I can tell you're not, we can all get along. :d

Welcome to the fold! And for the record, it's complete crap how the Sonics were taken from you guys.

In order to join the fold, you must purchase a Stockton Jersey and wear it. And you must have a poster of Malone throwing down a dunk and put it on your wall.

Honorary membership is also available to anyone who buys a signed Kobe Bryant or Carmelo Anthony Jersey and then burns it on Youtube.

OOOHHH Okay, that would be fair too. But the Sonic fan should know that we are being generous because Gary Payton said Stockton was his toughest competitor.

Welcome, man!
It's an honor to have a Sonics fan cheering for the Jazz. Gotta say it's **** ridiculous that Seattle lost their franchise. The NBA is not the same without the Sonics.

Being from Australia I don't think I could feel the pain the fans in Seattle had. It still bloody hurt me personally, I've been following them as long as I've known the NBA and when they went it left a massive hole. I'm just happy to find a team I can actually cheer for again.

I can understand how you feel. I'm from Brazil, but I've been following the Jazz since '97. I'd be incredibly sad and pissed if the same thing happened to them.

I remember hearing Gary Payton saying that he will not have his jersey retired in OKC....He want to have his jersey in Seattle so i hope they get a team back there at some point! Get the Clippers out of LA.

Back when basketball first started people that played basketball were called Cagers because of the rowdy crowds that would come watch the games. The players had to play on a court that was surrounded by taller fenses. The Seattle Cagers! get me a stadium and Milt Palocio and i have your banner seattle!

Welcome! Anything is possible with the Jazz, you'll get used to it.

I was born in Seattle, and a Sonics fan before I moved to Utah in 8th grade. So great to have another Seattle / Utah guy around.

All fans of the sport of basketball should love a guy like Millsap. He is just what is right in an athlete.

Welcome, brother!

You've made the right choice. I don't mind you keeping the Sonics pic on your sig, but a Jazz logo would look really sweet down there next to it. :D
