Week 10 thread

Post#1 » by Icness » Thu Nov 11, 2010 12:07 pm

Kicks off Thursday night with a strong BAL/ATL matchup. If you don't have NFL Network get yourself to a bar for this one, it's worth it.

Lots of good potential games this weekend, including two games that could really help sort out the NFC West.

Make sure to tune in to the HOU/JAX game so you can see Houston's defense make Garrard look like Peyton. Should be good times.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I think Dallas' defense two weeks ago already managed to do that. Both defenses are horrible. First one to 40 wins?

Chad Henne benched. He'd look good in the west.

If the Falcons can get a FG, Icness will have predicted the score exactly.

Horrible prediction, Icness. You should've known they were going to score a TD there and they were going to miss the 2 point conversion. :)

I thought two point conversion attempts could be returned by the defense for two points themselves? No?

Shouldn't ed reed have been able to return that pick-off for two points, and Baltimore would have only been down three?

Pretty sure that's only in college now.

Lame. They should bring that to the NFL.

Good game though. That jenkins fingertip catch was insane.

I was thinking that too
Great game, lots of drama.

I am laughing my butt off at the Ravens complaining about a wide receiver pushing off. Nobody in the history of the NFL does that more often than Anquan Boldin but that is apparently lost on them.

Maybe it's just me, but it kind of looked like the defender was falling before the push and the push looked really weak.

The Falcons never make anything easy, but a win is a win. I hope the Falcons never play on NFL Network again, though. Theismann and Millen are awful and even as a Falcons fan I was annoyed with the constant Matt Ryan love.

I watched most of the game at a bar with a couple of Lions fans here in Houston. Every time the camera showed Millen they booed. It was awesome!

Sadly he's the strength of that announcing lineup. Theismann is just unspeakably terrible. I respect Bob Papa but he he doesn't get himself above the slop with these two.

Icness, why must you favor the Jaguars on your weekly pick? Last time you went against them vs. Dallas, it worked in our favor =D

One of my favorite Falcon's games I've ever watched.

Matt Ryan was just fantastic running the one minute ice drill :)

What the hell is wrong with Harry Douglas though? I had big hopes for him when we drafted him, but god almighty he's terrible.

I'm still not convinced we could win a superbowl though....

I haven't seen a team in the league that is head and shoulders above Atlanta this season, so I don't see why they couldn't if they hit a hot streak at the right time. It's the Falcons, Giants, and Packers in the NFC that I see as the legitimate threats to get to the SB with Saints, Vikings, and Eagles as the only other three teams that could be dangerous on a talent level, but one or two of those teams won't even make the playoffs.

i still dont understand why atlanta didnt go for 2 after scoring their 2nd td, it was already the 4th quarter they'd need 2 td's regardless why not go for it?

also i dont think that catch on the 1st play of the 2 minute drill was a catch but it was to hard to overturn.

and lastly that td by ryan to white was awesome, it was at least an 11 point play for me in fantasy b/c i got the 6 points for the td and ryan got a bonus 5 for going over 300. not bad considering brees was on his bye this week

I'm really hoping Cleveland can upset the jets here.

It'd make me feel better about the pats losing to them last week, and would really help us out with a jets loss.

They're looking good so far, started back at the 10 and have made a helluva drive so far to the jets red zone.

I hope they win too, I dislike the Jets and the Browns fans deserve it
