I would be impressed with that. I have a beard, and even I can't stand it past a pretty short length. I always want to go for the King Leonidas or Baron Davis look, but it just gets too gnarly.

Oddly enough ZZ top does have a beardless drummer named Frank Beard, but I was referring to Gibbons or Hill.
