Bobcats Tickets down to 69 cents!

Post#1 » by Battery » Fri Nov 12, 2010 7:37 pm

This is unbelievable that ticket prices have been allowed to drop this low. All around the NBA I have seen a sharp decline on Stub Hub for ticket prices so this isn't that shocking considering the state of the economy. Ticket prices in recent years have gotten out of hand and I believe that is one of the reason why the owners are trying to reduce salaries. It has gotten to the point (before this season) where the average fan cannot afford to go to games. I'm happy the prices have fallen to these levels, even the really good seats you can get for cheap on Stub Hub if you wait close enough to game time.

And if you wait until Monday you could upgrade to the lower level for just a buck! :D And if you're like me(if I see open seats closer to the court I'm moving there) you probably could get up to front row because it's not like the arena will be packed on a Monday against the TWolves.

So if you wait til Monday, your total price to sit courtside would be around 6 bucks. Probably cost you more to park your car.

I wish I could see a game. I live in the middle of nowhere if you're a basketball fan. Closest is either Memphis or Indianapolis, both more than 4 hours away. Guess it's better than Ottawa (sorry bigslam)

$0.69 to see Kwame Brown and DeSagana Diop? That's a rip-off.

I plan on making the drive to Charlotte this year to see a game. Perhaps we'll suck by February and prices will be even cheaper. I had planned to spend about $70-80 each for nice baseline tickets too.

If I were you I would wait until the day before to purchase those tickets because you could probably get great seats for under 50 bucks on stub hub. And depending on the day and who we play you could buy the $9 tickets in the lower bowl corner and move to courtside.

With our ticket prices dropping like flies, heck for 70-80 bucks they might give you a seat on the bench next to Matt Carroll.

speaking of the wolves, Love just put up a double double of 31 and 31... that's 31 rebounds folks. Beasley (the near Bobcat) looked unstoppable in the 4th Q as well. I think he dropped close to 40.

yeah, Beasley was there for the taking for anyone with a second round pick and the cap room to accomodate his salary. Unfortunately, we'd pissed away all our cap space from the last two years worth of band aid trades and were thus unable to become a serious suitor.

He has 36 and most of them came on isos where he repeatedly embarrassed wilson chandler with a variety of face up jumpers and drives.

That Kevin Love line was the real story though. I dont think I've watched a game where a player has posted 30 and 30 since, well, ever. Talk about shades of Wilt.

Its not worth it to get the upper level ones that are that cheap unless your getting something like 4 or more. They rape you on fees.

Seeing this after the talk of Love and Beasley was really, really confusing.

Is that 5 bucks per ticket? If so then thats not such a good deal. If it's 5 total for say 4 tickets then that's a great deal if you're going with 3 friends.

OK just checked stub hub and tickets for Monday are down to 50 cents! The total cost for 4 instant download tickets are $11.95.

4 tickets x $0.50 - $2.00
Delivery (Electronic - Instant Download) - $4.95
Service fee - $5.00
Total - $11.95

Stub hub must make a killing with all of these fees. :-? Still cheap for 4 tickets but costly for 1

You're still supporting the team by purchasing those tickets because they need as many people in the arena as possible. Plus if you go they can sell you all sorts of overpriced crap.

And who's to say those tickets aren't from the Bobcats directly? Stub Hub says they have 10 tickets for sale at 50 cents all in the same row. Then there's 22 tickets available at 85 cents all in the same row. Excuse me but nobody in Charlotte is going to purchase an entire row of season tickets in the nose bleeds. So they have to be from the Bobcats who are just looking to dump the tickets. I wouldn't be surprised if pro sports teams get a piece of their fees.
