ESPN: Sourcs say Taylor To Request Trade Today

Post#1 » by magicfan4life05 » Sun Jun 1, 2008 4:33 pm

I was just watching Sportscenter and they brought on John Clayton, and they said Taylor will request a trade at a press conference later today.

Clayton spoke with Taylor's Agent and he's not 'demanding' a trade, 'but reiterating a trade in the best business sense', he's not sure if he will hold out of training camp, but he wants to move on, and it's the best interest for the dolphins to trade him, but he wants out of Miami and will make it clear today.

I'm really starting to get annoyed with this whole situation, being as I have to read about it everyday. I know its a bit childish for a veteran player to be asking for a trade like this, but I don't understand the way the Dolphins' FO is trying to handle this (canceled meetings between the two parties, lack of communication, barely addressing the public).

We all know Parcells and Ireland are in the process of rebuilding this franchise from the ground up, and they have done a great job doing so already, but they need to end this and get JT out of Miami (as much as it would piss their fans off).

I was kind of hoping he'd just shock everyone and retire to pursue acting fulltime. (since he seems to plan to do it part time anyways)
I hate when press conferences are called for crap thats been out there for weeks already. I mean I understand it like to announce new coaches or players or something, but to have a press conference to tell people you want to be traded when everyone already has found that out?

Come to Saint's we'll fit you in as a rushing linebacker, or move Grant inside sometimes and have the best pass rushing D-line EVAR!!!!!!

For real, I'd like him on our team, we could use a LB, and he's not a pure LB, but he's so talented...

In the beginning, I was on Taylor's side of this whole thing and that Parcells was just being an ass. Now, I'm so on the side of the Dolphins I might be replacing Taylor on the roster.
