Life & Style can report exclusively that Phoenix Suns basketball star Steve Nash and wife Alejandra Amarilla have decided to separate. Life & Style can also report that the couple welcomed their third child, a son named Matteo Nash, on Nov. 12. In an exclusive statement to Life & Style, Steve says:

"I am very thankful and excited that we have a new son, Matteo Nash. Alejandra and the baby are doing fine. But this is a bittersweet moment for my wife and I; after five years, we are now in the process of dissolving our marriage. While we have lived separately for the past several months, we remain firmly committed to raising our children in the most positive, nurturing way possible. I want only good things for Ale going forward; right now, I'm focused on ensuring that our children understand how much they're loved and adored by us as they continue to adjust to these changes. I would ask that their privacy, and ours as a family, be respected as we move forward. This will be my only statement on this."

Before this thread gets out of control, I want to say something.

I worked at the James Hotel (which later turned into the Mondrian) at Scottsdale and Indian School as a valet from early 2004 - late 2006. During this time, the hotel was the hottest thing in Scottsdale. The bar was a huge night spot and we had a ton of celebs roll through on a nightly basis. This included people like Nash, Amare, Phil Weber, Raja Bell, Barbosa, Bo Outlaw, etc.

Nash was always VERY well behaved. He drove a SL55 AMG. His wife had a Range Rover. I never one saw Nash without his wife by his side. Nash and his wife often hung out with their friends, always tipped well, and were very cordial to people asking for pictures and autographs. They always arrived together and left together.

I highly doubt Nash would cheat on his wife based on what I saw. I'm not saying it's not possible as a lot of time has passed since 2004-2006, but I saw some pretty crazy **** from other pro ball players...but never with Nash.

Based on what I've seen in life, I wonder if this has something to do with their kids. It seems to me a lot of marriage problems seem to start as soon as kids enter the picture.

...and since I know I will be asked:

- Mike Tyson was found face down in the bathroom. Probably on coke. This was a good 6 months before his Scottsdale arrest.

- Two sheriffs officers had to taze a dude who was harassing Donovan McNabb and trying to get his autograph. He was a big dude and they had to taze him multiple times to get him to drop.

- Junior Seau and some other dude tipped me $100 to drive them and two "top heavy" blondes to Taco Bell one night in the Hotel Suburban. At one point Seau tapped me on the shoulder and made one of the girls flash me. LOL.

-Dennis Rodman banged some chunky bitch in the hotel hot tub after hours.

- The entire "St. Lunatics" crew hung out in the hotel lobby one night trying to holla at bitches...they all left empty handed. LOL.

- I loaded 3 blondes into a un-named Suns players 745i one night....that Suns player had a brunette wife. LOL.

- Barbosa brought a drop dead gorgeous blond girl into the bar many times during 2004-2005. This was when he barley spoke English. LOL. I don't think he or she cared that there was minimal communication.

- Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie smoked themselves silly in their hotel room one night.

- One of the other workers at the hotel got a frantic call from a former bench warming Suns player. That suns player was in route to pick up his "girlfriend" at the airport but was worried that a "previous guest" may have left some "underwear" in the room. He wanted the employee to check the room and make sure there was nothing "incriminating"

As for the scrub...I honestly forget the player. He was a younger white guy that played at 4 or 5. If someone told me the name I'd remember.

I never once saw Hill.

As for the infamous Steve Nash finger bang story, I call bull.

1. I never saw Barbosa in a Bentley....Barbosa had a Range Rover.

2. Barbosa had a SICK house in the mountains of east Mesa. I beleive the "finger bang" story mentioned Barbosa and a Scottsdale house. I don't believe Barbosa owned in Scottsdale. I have access to real estate records since I do investments and I believe the Mesa house was Barbosas only crib of record.

The only credibility that the Nash "finger bang" story has is that he and his wife did often hang with Barbosa. Nash and Barbosa appeared to be pretty close.

I live in Victoria, Steve Nash's home town, and I've heard some stories. One involved him escorting some underaged girls into a downtown club, but I have no first hand sightings. I would be surprised and disappointed, if any rumors of his promiscuity turned out to be true. It's all hearsay to me.

Hope he's doing alright through all of this, certainly hasn't affected his play.
