How many of you are ballers? Describe your game.

I'll start I play the highest level social ball. I would most play like a Harpring/Hornacek combined now that surgery has taken away most of my athleticism. Used to have big hops but now i just shoot the three ball

Style similar to Jason Kidd. I have a really streaky jumpshot, but do well distributing and on D for my size

I play PG prefer the pass over the shot, but do love to drive when available. I have a decent 3 pt shot but have a tendancy to rush my shot at times.

I play anywhere at anytime I can. I've had a bunch of health issues (wrist, ankle, knee, etc.) but I'm just starting to get healthy again so my athleticism is starting to come back.

My game? I try and patent it after Deron Williams but I try to incorporate a lot of different play styles into my game. I'm more of a jump shooter than Deron is...I love the spot up elbow three but I play big and really physical like he does and can do a bit of everything. In fact, I often get people pissed at me when I go play because I'm so aggressive regardless of where I'm playing or who I'm playing against. I'm the type of guy who isn't afraid to give a hard foul or two if needed and I don't back down from anyone...I'm super competitive. I try and take in everything I can about basketball and try to incorporate all sorts of play styles into my game so I'm really versatile. I can play any position depending on where I'm needed and the opposing players but I prefer to play as PG or SG.

Where does everyone play at? (if you're here in UT). It would be fun to get a group together and go play a few pick-up games. Maybe we could even get together over the summer down at the Taylorsville rec center and see if there are any Jazz players playing over there (I hear a lot of them play pick-up games there in the off season).

I play the 2/3 but i'm only 6'2. Should play the 1 but a little slow these day! I play 2 x week comp & 1 training. Used to hit 3's all day til they extended to nba size recently

I played for my high school last year. I can shoot but my lateral speed is terrible so I have to guard players much taller than me (but I hold my own). I didn't get to play much, I had a couple of injuries that kept me from being effective and I'm just not athletic enough to guard the faster players, but I was brought in to hit shots off the bench or free throws at the end of games and I am pretty good in that respect.

I play like George Costanza. I'm stocky and fat, but I run like the wind. I use what muscle I do have well though, and surprise most guys who haven't played around me before and always try to steal the ball from me when I'm running point. I generally play anywhere from 2-4 because of my size and since I have a pretty good nose for rebounding, but occasionally run point if we don't have somebody more capable. My shot is super streaky since I don't get much time to practice, but I can have very deadly nights from outside (church 3 point line). I play 2 nights a week generally, with the younger single guys in my area, full court, usually for at least 1.5 hours. It's the only exercise I get, so I push myself hard and also tend to piss people off. I don't put up with any BS either, if I'm fat and running the court the whole time, you better be doing it too, and play defense! I never played ball in school since I was too busy with music stuff, though I could have at least warmed the bench.

I love the look on guys faces when I blow by them straight to the rim for a layup, but love even more to dish a laser pass for a free layup. :)

I love to ball. I would describe my game sort of similarly to Manu. I believe in attacking the basket at all times, though at one time I had a pretty tight stroke. I look to pass first, but I finish around the rim quite well so its all deadly. I don't play as much as I used to, so my shot doesn't fall and I resort to short floaters in the lane and pull up Js from 10 ft and in. Also, I've begun to develop a really good post game as I've aged, but I'm small enough that I have to play in the high post against most competition.

Shooting guard. Weird shoot like Shawn Marion. I'm a checker shoot the three allot over all I suck but once in a while in rhythm I cant miss. longest streak in a game was 11 threes with out missing of course being a game with friends they probably didn't play the best defense in the world. When I do miss I stop shooting penetrate and dish.

Back in the day about 20 lbs and two knees ago I used to play. Nowadays I just pretend I'm playing and try to not injure myself or look too bad. I can still bang pretty good though and dish out the hard fouls to skinny dudes driving the lane. Nobody dares take a charge when I drive it so my 2 inch vertical lay up rarely gets blocked... but clangs more than it used to.
