Are you factoring in behind the scenes people or something?

Spurs have the better backcourt. Yeah, Kobe is the best G on either team, but Manu and Parker make a better backcourt than Fisher and Kobe.

Coach is debateable. Pop is as good as any coach

This, your predicting from the performance of an entirely new team top to bottom in their first 10 games together, with arguably the 4th best player injured

Spurs bench is better as well. We're talking about Hill, Blair or Splitter, James Anderson, Neal, Bonner, and Dyess vs Steve Blake, Barnes, Odom, and Shannon Brown. I don't think the gap is as clear cut between these two teams anymore. I know it's early but the Spurs are really playing like an elite team right now (check the SRS)...

It'll be the first NBA Finals where the league will allow both teams to play with canes. Paul Peirce will request to use a wheel chair

I just hope its not the Heat. Spurs are big sleepers though

Duncan has to show that he can play at an all-star level for them to even have a chance at beating the Lakers. It seems like they are just saving him right now. However, I heard he does have the flu

I do not know if the Spurs can remain consistent enough over the course of the season to secure home court advantage in the western conference finals. Also, I wonder if their aging team can really compete against the Lakers. The Celts could very well make it.

For some reason, I am partial towards Utah upsetting the Lakers if it is going to happen at all. However, this is based on a limited sample size of games.

We really only have 3 oldies (Dyess 36, Duncan 34, Ginobili 33). Everyone else is actually fairly young.

RJ-30
Parker-28
Splitter-26
Bonner-30
Gary Neal-26
George Hill-24
Blair-21
James Anderson-21

So as you can see we're no older than the Celtics who have just recently gave the Lakers a run for their money...

I'm not saying it is not possible. But, your squad does have a few players over 30. I still feel that the Spurs have fallen off relative to years past, but there is no denying the talent evident on your roster.

I'm not a fan, but I believe in the Mavs too.

I've been saying for awhile that they can be a top-4 defensive team in the NBA this season - it's up to Carlisle and the coaching staff. They have the horses for it. So far, so good.

They need Beaubois too. Another dynamic shot-maker next to Dirk + an above average defender at the point of attack. Their offense, as it is, it's not enough. They'll need Marion to play 35mpg vs. teams like the Lakers, Chandler close to it, so they need Rodrigue to play nearly as much, otherwise they'll suffer from the lack of go-to scoring. I do believe Carlisle learned his lesson last season anyway.

I'd like to see them trading Butler too. For a wing who moves well off-the-ball + above average defender.
