GT Mon Nov 15th: TWolves @ Cats 7:00 pm

Post#1 » by moevil » Mon Nov 15, 2010 4:41 pm

Starting Lineups

PG: DJ
SG: Jack
SG: GDub
PF: Diawow
C: Nazr

Bench
TT, UPS, Shaun, Matt

PG: Telfair
SG: Johnson?
SF: Beasley
PF: 30-30
C: Milicic

Keys to game:
1) Do not allow them to rebound misses or it is over before it started
2) Get open looks and penetrate on offense, as Minnesota defense isn't great one
3) Wallace and other slashers should attack the rim and draw fouls

Easy. Bobcats Team, do it for the fans, god sake

This game worries me a great deal. Not at all confident in winning tonight. Hope my fears prove unfounded.

twolves played a close game yesterday and they have tons of injuries. they only had 10 guys in uniform vs the hawks. no offense to the twolves, but after starting 0-4 at home, this is about as close to a must win game as you can find.

prediction, bobcats come out mad about blowing lead to utah and win this game by 10.

I think we are winning today,Kevin Love will go to something like 21-18,but I hope Augustin explodes today for 20+ points. As Fatlever says, this sould be a Must win.

I'm worried about KLove rebounding over Diaw. We're lucky though, because Klove can't jump either, so box out performances might be more of a factor. I've never seen the cats play the wolves, so I don't know how Diaw will do against love, but I think he's got the box out skills to at least make it difficult. But obviously Klove has skills...

I'm sorry to see Tyrus was dealing with a death in his family. I felt bad because I was relieved he wasn't injured.

And maybe Kwame will help get some rebounds, who knows.

Augustin gets his first chump point guard of the season, he better take advantage of this. DJ essentially let the Utah game slip out of his hands too... he should rebound. Speaking of rebounding, Diaw probably won't let Love have his way on the boards. Even though Diaw isn't a big numbers guy, the work he does in the post is invaluable for this team. He controls space in the paint better than the majority of the league, even with his 'condition'. Tyrus... please just be smart and not take yourself out of the game with fouls and dumbassery again. Everyone wants to love you man. Let us.

Big story is Jackson though, will he gave a damn two nights in a row? Oh and Livingston, be an impact for once man... geez.

i was so disappointed in livingston on saturday. we really needed him to carry that 2nd unit and make some plays, do something to impact that unit and it just didnt happen. i hope he does better tonight, especially if hendo is out again. i think we will do OK with love. one thing boris can do is box out. we need to attack their soft interior defense. dont fall in love withthe jumpers. attack. i seem to remember them playing a lot of zone against us last year and boris had to save the day with his passing from the ft line to open the zone up.

You know what I'd like to see?

No more plays where Shaun Livingston posts up.

Starting to think the other Brown is what he is,he hasn't done much over his last 5 games even when he's cracked 15 minutes+.

Love should have his way with Doris on the boards tonight.

Really disapponted in Livingston's play thus far, would be happy if he scored in double digits tonight while dishing out 3-4 assists at least.

his post ups dont bother me. he's got size and a nice fadeaway. problem is, he goes to the same move every time. fadeaway to his right hand. he needs to counter occasionally with an up and under drop step.

Maybe because he's limited in the post? He's not pushing anyone back and I can understand that Larry maybe wants to take advantage of his passing that position, but I don't think Livingston has ever done enough to warrant that he should be getting used in the post as much as he has.

The DJ/Liv backcourt didn't look so hot the other night either...

Under. Most of my hate for Diaw comes from what he does with the ball in his hands. Love, Millsap, Diaw, Reggie Evans... guys who aren't that big but work great underneath the rim. (and before people go off with zomg diaw doesn't put up big rebound numbers, know that wallace doesn't get 10+ boards a night if Diaw doesn't box out)

i agree and i would add tyson to that. diaw and chandler are two of the best boxing out bigs i've seen in this league. no way wallace averages 10+ w/out boris and chandler here last year. when those three were on the floor together last year, it was a perfect storm of rebounding. sadly chandler was injured most of the year so we didnt really get to see the true rebounding potential of that lineup. i think wallace would have finished with 11 per if chandler was healthier all season.

When is Kwame due back anyways? I had a feeling that the season would play out this way and he'd end up being a solid bargain signing...
