Bobcats are a tough match-up for the Wolves. Gerald Wallace is probably the best guy in the league for covering Beasley since he's too big to be overpowered and still athletic enough to keep up.

Yeah that was a clear foul.

We should've been able to hold onto that 9 point lead we had, though.

Anyway looks like we played well. That's all I'll ask for on road games for now.

Watching that "in the clutch" highlight on nba.com, it seriously looks like one of Wallace or Jackson hacked Beasley pretty damn hard on that strip.

And if Flynn isn't back next week then Rambis needs to name another scoring option, because right now everyone realises Love or Beasley are the only 2 we really have.

I just watched the highlights of the game. I have to agree with the consensus here. How was that not a foul on Tolliver? It was clear as a cloudless sky and the ref was very close to the action.

i only tuned in to the last 2 minutes or so but kevin love's 3 point shot when we were up by 3 with about a minute left was absolutely horrendous shot selection. he is falling way to in love with the 3 point shot..he is shooting 2.5 per game at only 30% which is far to many for a poor shooter, this in turn is causing him to shoot 41% field goals on the year which is terrible for a power forward. he only shot 33% from three last year as well so it is pretty clear to see that he is NOT a three point shooter. take a page out of josh smith's book and STOP SHOOTING THREE'S KEVIN LOVE! you're inefficiency is not conducive to winning basketball!!!!!

Tough loss guys, you're a young team so its understandable to lose in such situations.
Darko's relatively effective night can be ascribed to his mindset when he took a peek at the Cats bench and saw an all too familiar face. He'll be back to his normal self already in the next game.

Argh, a rollercoaster of a game to watch. I can't help but be a little dissapointed in this loss, but it gives me high expectations for the guy to pull out a win at home against the Clippers.

Welcome back Darko, for one game at least so far. Love was shut down pretty hard this game, probably a result of the 30-30 and teams putting extra attention on stopping him getting a good positon in the paint. Darko definately kept us in the game, thank god we had another post option to goto with Love being smothered a lot of the time. Darko is facing up more yet again, he is getting a bit more of a flow to his hooks, and again he tried the reverse layup going from one side to the other underneath the basket. Only one good offensive game from Darko thus far, still need to see this waaaay more often from him. But as a Darko fan, this game from him put a big smile on my face.

Wes didn't play badly, but he wasn't great either. Fair enough, i have still been more than happy with his development over the season so far. There was a big LOL when i saw he was at the line 2 points down, 3 seconds left. Soooo much pressure for the rookie, he faultered but oh well, i see the win from that being the experience he can take from it and use.

Gaines, not looking crash hot (not having a go at him), but is easily looking more accustomed to the team and is noticably making better offensive selections.

Aw man, what a bummer. Eh. Time to forget the past and focus on the battles ahead i guess.

Eh, the Twolves won't make the playoffs anyway, so the record doesn't matter too much. This game is pretty much a win considering how they played.

Hell, that's one more than we had last season.

Wes needs to shoot more, plain and simple.

Wes does need to shoot more, but collectively we need to shoot a better percentage. It is a collective team issue.

Gaines has impressed me so far. He's better defensively than the write ups on him indicated. Granted he doesn't know the offense, but I like his skills . Decent reach and size, good handle and stays in front of his man pretty well. I wanna see how he does against a Rondo or some of the better PG's before I'll totally judge him, but so far so good.

Just read through this entire thread, very encouraging at the start but a tragic end where a mix of us crumbling and bad officiating ended up losing us the game. Certainly looked like Tolliver and Love were fouled, not sure about Beas though. It's because we're on the road..though that shouldn't matter and the officials should show some balls.

On the plus side, I'm absolutely over the moon for Darko, 37 mins and some really good numbers, 5/11 with 3/4 ft's so that's basically 50% and the 4 blocks and 5 assists. Brilliant stuff. I hope this gets the monkey off his back now and he can carry on with this form. I've been pretty critical of Sundy Gaines in his first few games but tonight he looked really good though it isn't time to exactly eat some humble pie yet.

It's a tough loss to take but we're competitive as we've been for a LONG time. Encouraging.

I think he's definitely capable of being a backup PG in this league but considering we got Jonny/Luke and possibly Rubio that won't be in Minnesota long term.

Yeah, that three by Love was really frustrating. I don't mind him taking the occasional three (that isn't what's dragging down his percentages, his inability to make a layup over bigger players does), but it was an awful decision in that situation. One, there was still time left on the shot clock and Beasley hadn't even gotten up the court yet, two, it takes him off the offensive glass, where he's at his best. Run some clock and wait for SCB to get there and see if he can create something.
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''
