4. Minnesota Vikings

Which of the six teams mentioned actually have a real shot at the playoffs?

2-5 could make the playoffs, id say the saints and vikings are arguably the favorites to there divisions

I think the Saints are a playoff lock if their offense stays healthy.

Don't sleep on the Rams--they lost almost as many man-games to their OL last year than the entire Browns or Titans teams did all season. I've gotta see more out of that defense though.

I would put the Panthers on that list. IMO they are better than the Bucs (Saints are too). That NFC South is so topsy-turvy you never know what's gonna happen. Heck, if Matt Ryan is legit and Michael Turner has a huge impact, no reason the Falcons shouldn't be competitive.

Bucs are not going to make the playoffs. And the teams with the best chance to make the playoffs from that list are Saints and Bills. Eagles are good but are in one of the toughest divisions, the Ravens aren't gonna make playoffs until the QB situation is set, Vikings are not going to make playoffs because they suck(and every year they spend money on free agents but it never helps), and I like the Rams but I think that offensive line is going to be decimated by injuries again.

Baltimore could be a long shot if their defense plays amazing, which is possible but getting less and less possible every year.

Minnesota and New Orleans have good shots at making the playoffs. Being in the NFC South definetly helps the Saints and if Green Bay falls flat on their face this year after losing Favre, the Vikes could vie for the Division title.

I believe Minnesota should make the playoffs if they can stay healthy that is. I also like New Orleans to bounce back and make the playoffs over Carolina. As for the rest of the teams....good luck and build on what you currently have.

Buffalo still needs time to add more to what they already have. I can't see them winning the wild card over some of the rest of the AFC and I fully expect the Pats to win the division again.

The Vikings should make the playoffs in a weak NFC North. The Vikings could be a 11 win team if Jackson plays well.

But out of the ones you mentioned, SW said it best, if T-Jack plays well the Vikings will be a playoff contender.

The Vikings look poised to make the playoffs. They do two things that most playoff teams have to do well and that's running the football and stopping the run.

Tavaris Jackson just has to stay within himself. If he can do that, I don't see why they can't win their division.

No one can predict the NFC South. It's to crazy.

If the Bills can stay healthy then I can see them making the playoffs but staying healthy is a big if.

Like the Rams.

I think the Vikings and Saints will win their divisions.

I also think the Eagles will be better than people realize. Not many things went right for them last year, and they still finished 8-8. And they lost 5 of those games by 4 points or less. They've improved their main weaknesses, play makers on defense and special teams. With a few more plays on those units last year they could have won any number of those games they lost by four points or less and easily have been in the playoffs. I expect guys like Samuel, DeSean Jackson, hopefully a healthy Dawkins and Sheppard, and more capable pass rushers can give them that boost this year.

Seeing as how we will have the same defense and same offense (minus Favre), I don't see us really falling on our face. No way in hell we win 13 games again, but 9 or 10 is not out of the question. Us, Vikings and MAYBE the Bears if their defense can stay healthy. That's the NFC North this year. Won't even bother mentioning the joke that is the Lions.

yes, you guys have a very solid, pretty young defense. But Favre was the heart and soul of your team, city, and some could even argue the whole NFL.

Isn't he going to resume throwing in like a week? How is that worthwhile news in June?

I like Kevin Kolb BTW. I never saw him play at Houston, so I only really got to see him play in last years pre-season where he looked good, that's pretty meaningless however. The thing I do like about him is his "make-up", it seems like he can handle the responsibilities. I don't know why, but I have a good feeling about him,.

Tavaris Jackson would really have to play so much above how he played last year for the Vikings to make the playoffs. You can't be one-sided on offense. But that said, Rodgers has to play well too for the Packers to retain the division. So it really hinges on the QB play of the Vikings and Packers. Whichever QB plays better, that team will win the division.
