There is no need to guess what Melo means or doesn't mean. I'm sure Donnie has been told EXACTLY what Melo means through whatever backchannels we have with him.

Who blames him? His Defensive system shows and its the worst in the NBA. Including His Offensive playbook consists of shooting 30 3's a game and missing 25 of them.
Even if Melo comes here next year, i wont even be excited if D'antoni is still the coach.

Re: Melo's Comments Speaks Volumes
I always say it, this coach do not play defense at all. People on here always want to blame it on the players. True, players are held accountable. But this coach got rid of any players who were stronger on defense and not so well on offense.
I am happy Melo is mentioning that. It will teach them a lesson. I think it's more of a warning shot though. We better get on the phone to get Camby, Biedrinks, Chandler or something.

He also said his situation is just like Lebron's he wants to win...That means if he leaves he's taking the safe route to a chip and not coming here.
Boy the reaction to some fans if this guy doesn't come here....
You know LeShouldIBeWhoYouWantMeToBeyotch once told us about ourselves.....THEY DON'T PLAY NO D....and the Bloody Wench proceeded to announce his Decision in our backyard not coming here... We still got our knees dirty though
lol @ Carmalo
Nah.
It's likely he feels he can / will win big with Amar'e by his side.

If it is about winning, he is going to take the mid-level from Lakers or Boston. Book it.

Wishful thinking. As bad as we've been, I'm sure MSG is where Melo wants to be.
If Melo was willing to just go to a winning team, then the Nuggets wouldn't be faced with such a dilemma. They could trade him to a large number of teams. But that certainly does not appear to be the case.
I'm not happy about the Knicks, nor do I think Melo is the answer to our problems, but to say he's just going to go to a winning team is to misread him greatly. It's the same as hearing 'If people think I'm unhappy with Cleveland, they're looking out the wrong box' and thinking lebron was staying in Cleveland.

Wow Knicksgod is getting quite desperate. If you read between the lines you have Melo openly dissing D'Antoni's system and saying (if you read between the lines) it's nothing he ever wants to be associated with again and then you talk about him wanting MSG.
I'm telling how this is gonna pan out: The Bulls are gonna win 50 games, make the playoffs-Deng will look much better than he is and average 18/7rebounds. All of a sudden his remaining 3 years and 40 mill. won't look that bad anymore. They'll add Gibson, add two picks and deal for Melo.

Re: Melo's Comments Speaks Volumes
i'm thinking melo is goign to have a sit down with mike and donnie when he becomes a FA. this is when he'll talk basketball with mike and decide if he likes his style.
if he doesn't ... but he still REALLY wants to play in NY and for the knicks and with amare ... then i think he has an additional sit down with donnie to discuss the possibility of another coach.
ALL THAT BEING SAID, what happens this season will also be of HIGH importance.

Am I desperate or are you lacking reading comprehension. He's a) saying I like MD's system but I don't want to b) play bad defense. He's balancing his comments, buddy, especially when he's talking to the Denver Post. Get a clue.

No way that happens. Christ, some Knick fans just want to keep ignoring reality. Melo will have an eye on all his possible future options--in case you haven't noticed , the Nuggets don't seem to be too high on the Knicks assets. That means there is the possibility of this going to free agency (Knicks only shot) but if the Knicks aren't a gritty, hardnosed defending team by then watch Melo do exactly what Lebron did. By then the Nuggets have ZERO leverage and they'll accept whatever deal they can get. Then watch Melo go to a rival team and the same desperate Knick fans say "Screw Melo, I wanted Paul anyways".SMH--there you have a superstar player directly saying that he doesn't dig the system and that he never wants to be associated with a system that doesn't put defense first and he also adds like he is just like Lebron in wanting to go to the best possible team and you have here fans sitting and fantasizing about him sitting down with Donnie and Mike talking strategy. It's actually so silly I can't help but laugh.

you mean the part about winning 50 games?
Not happening for awhile - Boozer still injured & look at this away schedule: Hou, Spurs, Mavs, Lakers, Suns, Denver & Sacto - then home to Orlando before a trip to Boston..... They aren't winning too many of these.
Bulls schedule gets a lot easier starting in mid-January & Boozer should be back by then. However, I doubt they make 50 wins after that horrific schedule.
Of course, Noah & Rose are playing well - and Taj Gibson (starting for Boozer) has been phenominal.
His stats are better than Bosh's

No, I am talking about dancing dervish pushing Melo2Chi when everyone in Chicago and their mothers doused those rumors months ago. The Bulls are a solid team.

Oh, you added more. Why laugh at the Bulls? They are just being used as a contract/trade ploy - just like some guys use the Knicks. All local writers say a 'Melo trade to Bulls is extremely unlikely & there is no evidence Chicago has even discussed any trade with Denver
Edit: dancing dervish is not a Bulls poster - at least I havent seen him post there
