2:03pm: The Marlins are close to signing Buck to a three-year deal, tweets Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports. We had speculated on the three-year possibility just a few hours ago. Rosenthal's colleague Jon Paul Morosi tweets that Buck's deal is worth more than $15MM.

Good, there's no way the Jays should have given him 3 years/18M.

Agree 100%. Just like Scoots for me last year. Both totally outperformed my expectations and their contracts while a Jay, but I'm perfectly happy to applaud the prior performance, bank the pick, and let someone else pay out the nose hoping for a repeat over multiple years.

Re: Buck a Marlin?
wtf are the Marlins doing
-Cameron Maybin for two run of the mill relievers
-3yrs/18million for John freaking Buck
-Uggla(and two picks)for a utility player and a run of the mill reliever.
their front office used to be smart, these moves are absolutely mind boggling.
