When told Amar'e Stoudemire lobbied yet again for Carmelo earlier in the day, he replied, "Amar'e's crazy."

Carmelo on Knicks: "They got some thigns to do. They got some things to work on. It looks like they're trying to figure out their team."

Carmelo was asked if this was the last time he'll play against the Knicks: "We play them next month, right?"

Wow, you do realize that I have been on record as saying that not only is Melo leaving but he should be traded immediately since mid-July?

Carmelo said he wouldn't like to go thru the backlash LeBron is dealing with, "but you can't please everybody."

Carmelo said he couldn't say anything to NY fans hoping he might come: "I've got to focus on what's going on in Denver here right now."

This is getting kind of ridiculous with all of this hanging on every word, gesture, action etc. that a professional athlete makes. At the end of the day everybody here wants to play behavioral analyst, none of us are qualified (I almost am but that's not the point) and it doesn't do any good. This constant pining for him to come here and save us makes us look really pathetic. He's either going to come here or he's not, everybody will know by July at the very latest. Until then we should calm down with all this speculation. It's one thing to speculate when a story comes out from multiple reputable sources but it's quite another to do this; "OMG Carmelo was eating an orange. OMG and then he blew his nose. OMG Orange and blew...Orange and Blue!!!!!!! OMFG YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA he's gonna be a Knick!!!" That's what's happening here and it's f*cking stupid.

He must try to tank everygame since College bcuz he always smiles when he makes a mistake..He did a great job of tanking in the College Championship game agaisnt Kansas....I knew from right then he was a quitter...That was the moment when I predicted it like Nastradomous that on Nov.16th 2010 agaisnt our Knicks, Carmelo Anthony would smile after missing a FT.The Fix is in.

It doesn't matter what we want. Anthony is not coming to a .300 team. He WANTS TO WIN!

Well then I guess it's a good thing we're a below .300 team.

if it was about winning his best chances are staying in the West with his current team, is it not?

If it was about winning why would he have come out and say 'it's beyond this season, the players' blah blah

clearly he's being 'politically correct' by saying 'i'm like Lebron i wana win' blah blah - partly true, but not all with him.

So long as Amare is on this team, Melo will be okay to come here. case closed. no ifs or buts.

Carmelo is not enough to save this organization. He really isn't. The Knicks need a strong point guard and defensive minded center to even think about competing for a playoff spot.

One piece at a time bro. We have Amare. he is a big piece. Getting Melo would be big, the addition of Melo to the current squad would be much great than the addition of Amare to the previous squad.. two big names would be a start...

we'll take the pg position when we get there.

^ yea, i mean, landing one of the greatest players in the game isn't THAT big of a deal is it? I mean, why would Knicks fans care that much about the possibility of having someone like that on our team - especially given how well we've been playing, right? It's not like he's appeared to embrace our team and given us something to look forward to or hope for... na

The players are not the problem. It is the coaching that has us 3-8. Anthony is not coming to a team/organization that doesn't take winning seriously. That effectively describes the NY Knicks. If it didn't, then Antoni would be gone after this road trip, but I am almost certain that he will not be, and will finish the season. Why? Because winning is second priority, selling out MSG is first. And, it is already sold out. As long as the fans complain, but buy tickets, then the complaints are insignificant.

Question for you, be honest in your answer: Where you one of the guys that swore that LBJ was coming to NY, and got upset when people like myself said that he would not?

Not at all, but Melo's situation is much different than James'... and no i don't think it's a 'sure thing' that he'll be a Knick, but unlike James where we really were just one of many dogs in the race (or so we thought), I think we are the real front runner in the race for Melo... I'm not sure i'd say it's only a matter of time, but I'd say i'd probably be surprised if he didn't become a Knick at this point, this season or next...

He isn't staying in Denver, I just can't see that happening..if they win a championship maybe, but other than that... I'd see someone like Chi pulling something out before the nuggets...nets are gone, if he wanted to go there he'd be a net now

I agree with you about our coaching, even Melo said the other day that D wins, and as much as players like MDAs system, I'm not sure it'd be something Melo would love.. Melo or not I think we need a coaching change.... but that being said, I don't see MDA being here or not impacting whether Melo would come.. As you said, we have the players, namely Amare, and as long as we have him / them I think Melo will be more than okay with coming back home and playing for the Knicks.

As for MSG, i'm not a fan of Dolan either, i don't think most are.

Carmelo was asked if this was the last time he'll play against the Knicks: "We play them next month, right?"

Now this may not mean much to you guys but I noticed something weird with this. They said earlier that they asked how Melo felt going into this game yesterday (with all the drama going on) and he replied "I didn't even realize the Knicks were coming into town". Kind of weird how he suddenly knows that we play him in a month given that he didn't know 2 days before the game. He's obviously being dishonest and could be just because he's sick of the questions. But hiding the fact that he knows when they play the Knicks is interesting.
