He's already matched the number of cy young awards he won with us, and he already has one more playoffs appearance than he did as a Jay. The only place Jays have in his legacy that the Phillies will never have is that fact that the Jays are responsible for his development, but I'm afraid a WS win will easily beat that.

I can't believe the same thing gets discussed over and over. Gary Carter went on to win a WS with the Mets but still (after some discussion) went in as an Expo. Doc will always be identified with the Jays. George W. Bush called him his favourite pitcher when he was still a Jay.

Now, if Doc pitches at a high level for another five+ years and wins three or more WS, then great for him - but we have a problem. Let's wait until then.
