Lions-Cowboys Week 11 1:00

Post#1 » by kellmellus50 » Wed Nov 17, 2010 1:10 pm

All quotes from other people:

Is Jon and Roy going to make us pay? Probably. Maybe we can make their last week and new coach look like a fluke? Hope so.

Being facetious and frustrated. Those PP (Penalty Posse) guys need some sit down time
The lions played so hard in Bufflao so let them have the week off. just draw there hugh salary for all the Penaltys and half effort they showed. Swartz and staff get to go to Bahamas worked too hard last week teaching them to do all the penaltys.
Peterman gets two weeks vacation most penaltys in NFL. Riola gets 100 percent raise for being pushed around like a rag doll.

These are very interesting coments made i will not take credit for them:http://www.mlive.com/lions/index.ssf/2010/11/live_chat_lions-cowboys_week_1.html#comments

pison pete is that all you got to say there must be a whole lot of empty space upstairs ?

My dog said more to me this morning than you for example: are wow wow = (how are you) do you want to go out =(ruff) would you like bacon strips (bark, bark, bark)

According to an online story in the Wall Street Journal, the 2-7 Lions have the NFL’s all-time worst record among teams with a positive point differential (with a minimum of eight games played). That’s because they’ve lost a bunch of nail-biters and won their only two games by wide margins. Add it all up, and the Lions have outscored their opponents, 215-202, this season

Why is your dog asking you if you wanna go out?

Why is your dog asking if you want bacon strips?

I would have said this was a very good chance at a win before last week, when the Cowboys showed life and we did not against an awful team.

I gotta be honest, im pretty split on this one. Do we respond to last weeks bad loss? Or does Dallas continue to play hard for a new coach?

All of the Dallas recievers are 6.2 to 6.3 they will give the lions backfield fits.

This game is one I would never want to bet on. You have a former Lions QB on an inconsistent, bad team going against a current Lions QB on an inconsistent, bad team.

You mean our secondary, right? Our Backfield = Our Running Backs

I'm thinking Cowboys - 27
Lions - 17

(Defence backfield) . The lions coaching will try to run all day and get now where like the bufflalo game . we need felton and morris to start the backfield if they are going to have any sucess in running the football.Det 21-20 if hanson kicks the last field goal.

I'm actually going to disagree and say it's because of Mayhew and Schwartz. It is true we have won some games by a lot and lost a lot by a few, but that's not the reason why it hadn't, it can't be a reason for itself. The bad job by our managers and coaches is the reason that we see this anomalous situation because we should have won some of those games we lost and by a margin of points, that's why the numbers appear to be a fluke and putting us in the #1 category of all-time from that perspective. It's just evidence of a bad job by all the guys that are part of this team that don't step out on the field. Which again, is inexcusable. You can't will yourself from a mental standpoint to automatically defeat another opponent, but you can use your will and mind to prevent making inexcusable mistakes that should never happen or in the very least rarely happen. We are just screwed up on understanding basic principles of the nature of the game. It's time to hire people to be in charge of the team that already know the game, the strategies, and how to implement them as opposed to people that have no prior qualifying skill sets or aptitudes that can only maybe become an expert at this stuff. Every day we act with insanity by ignoring the ongoing fires that continue to disrupt our foundation and restrict our growth.

Their's plenty of blame to go around players, coaches, even the officiating saying CJ was not a catch in Chicago . Because of that i think they will change the rule after this season.

Fords will stick with the coaches untill they quit or say what do you got to do to get fired around here.

I would fire all the coaches and keep the scouts after the season.

Example of a bad coach deceision; Best has been playing the last 5 weeks injured and because of that he get 2 yards per carry. They should be playing a healthy Morris and Felton over Best untill best is 100% healthy.

Legarrette Blount ,YES TSE the lions missed that free pick -up he is running 4.8 yard per carry better than any lions. AT 247 lb he could move the defence .The lions overlook thr RB position thinking it was all set but you can always improve and should have made a space for him.

Buccaneers September 7: Claimed RB LeGarrette Blount off waivers from Tennessee.

Half lions 10-7 still getting penaltys

That punt return by dalllas for TD could be the lion undoing we will see?

8 min to go and the lions need two scores at the dallas 35 and they choose to punt how stupid either go for it or do a fake field goal instead they punt into the end zone and only gain 15 yards ? bad coaching
that call is game over fire the coach he never tries to go for it maybe he's already giving up and threw in the towel.? i know i have.

Yeah not sure if I mentioned him on the board but on another board I'm part of I made a big deal about it immediately after it was announced that he was released. I was pretty fired up about the chance to get a free player of realistically high potential. Plus I would have already had plenty of room on the roster cause I would have found a way to trade Morris and Smith and Brown and possibly even Best a while before Blount was released. And by other teams taking our RBs that would have opened up even more potential sleeper RBs to scoop up cheap and free.

•The Lions are 8-70 on the road since 2001. It doesn't get much more depressing than that.

•I'm confident McCann stepped out of bounds during his touchdown return. His heel touched the sideline. The Fox replay caught it. So, why didn't Schwartz throw the challenge flag on it? He had nothing to lose, except for a timeout. In that situation, the reward is much greater than the risk of losing a timeout. If there's even the slightest notion McCann might have stepped on the sideline, he has to challenge it. He also has to get some help from the coaches upstairs, who should be paying attention to that stuff.

time to fire all the coaches and clean house no one knows what there are doing!!!!!!!!
