Aside from Marc not being 100% and OJ being in a shooting slump, what is going on with this team? Is it just early in the season? They just look uncomposed out there.
And what's this all about:

I think you guys need a trade. Rip and Prince for Randolph would be good for you!

A bit of both.
They are facing quality opponents and haven't quite meshed like I had hoped. Here's hoping they get it together soon.

It's both. The schedule has been very unkind in the first 3 weeks of the season: in terms of quality of opponents, more road games than home, and several back-to-backs. However, the Grizz are just not playing well either; IIRC, we're the worst in the league at rebounding differential right now, a category that we were best in the league last year. If, somehow, we manage to be hovering around .500 by December 1, we should be allright IMO.

the loss against Dallas, Phoenix, and Orlando can be said to be underperforming. Boston I know they played hard but they didn't get it done which is unacceptable by any measure.
The loss last night was revealing this team to be a bottom dweller. Portland was on a 2 game road loss streak. They had their best player injured. They have no one available to play center except Marcus Camby who is 2 years past his starting abilities and certainly can't give you 48 minutes a night. And we trailed most of the game. They had more energy. They had more talent. They played as a team. We are playing without passion or consistency and there's only going to be losses for that kind of presentation.
We went undefeated in preseason so there is a problem

I can't pinpoint it personally but not winning the next 4 out 5 games and you can call it a season on making the playoffs baring something drastic happening in the conference.

I would say that you are spot on unless OJ miraculously goes off offensively and is also able to stay in front of his man.

Hollins uses a horrible, inefficient offense that makes the guys have to work harder than they should. From there Zach cannot be the #1 option to make things work.

I love Randolph because he is able to create so many second chance opportunities. He can play a garbage role as well cleaning up on the glass.

That's the role he needs to stay at. That's what got him to the all-star game. Anything beyond that bogs down the offense. The offense doesn't create many good shots, so we're dependent on offensive rebounding to make up for it. That's why Zach needs to stay around the rim as much as possible.

I'm with you there. Also there's a pretty big difference between putting Darrell out at 17-20 feet versus putting Zach way out there; Darrell is a significantly better shooter/floor spacer from that distance and his extra mobility lets him crash the offensive glass more effectively when that far away from the rim. You really do take Randolph out of the offense when he gets put out at the elbow like that.
