Re: 2011 all star candidates
Has Millsap ever been listed? I seem to remember seeing him . . . or maybe I'm confusing him and Harpring.
He should have been on the list. Is there a limit to how many a team can put on it?

In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

Well only the starters can be voted for and that's going to Dork and Duncan anyway, maybe Dork and Gasol (it should be). Sap has a legit shot at being voted a reserve by the coaches.

Anybody. The list is just for the fans, and there are write-ins.

Gasol should be a lock.

Re: 2011 all star candidates
Well it will be interesting to see what the starting lineups will be but for right now I think the starters named will be (possible exceptions)
D.Rose (R.Rondo)
D.Wade
L.James
A.Stoudamire
D.Howard
C.Paul
K.Bryant
K.Durant (C.Anthony)
P.Gasol (D.Nowitzki)
Y.Ming
The ballot should of had Al Jefferson at Centre and Paul Millsap and Andrei Kirilenko at Forward but it doesnt really matter because Ming will be selected at C and Millsap has no chance at F.
Mario Chalmers is on the All-Star ballot? What the...

Chris Paul as the starting PG? You're kidding me right? His team is doing fine with a weak schedule but his numbers are far from amazing. I would be very surprised if he got the starting nod over D-Will.

You do realize that the starters are voted in right??? Altho the numbers don't back it up plenty of people are enchanted with their current record and are saying that Paul is CLEARLY better than Dwill....not that I agree but that is the common perception.....

Re: 2011 all star candidates
Chris Paul's a lock to start. He and WIlliams are already neck-and-neck in terms of talent, so when you add the NBA/ESPN Hype Machine, which has been 10,000% behind Paul since he entered the league, Deron really has no chance.
EDIT: I should note, also, that Paul is better in every statistical category except PPG. In some cases, by a wide margin (steals, FG%, 3P%).
