How did Yao sprain his ankle falling backwards?

I did not see a ankle twist or bend from any replays at multiple angles. How long do the Rockets and Yao stall before throwing in the towel? This guy plays horrifically slow basketball and has this organization by its balls. I say the Rockets try to trade him or waive him and get some kind of exemption. He's clearly picked up the "American Way" of ripping people off.

the sprain didn't happen during the fall, it happened afterwards while Yao was on the ground. After yao fell backwards, while laying on the ground, one of the players on the other team stepped on his foot.
