:D

it's not basketball but it's fun. we're like 1-5 though.

i will say, it's hard to unlearn 25 years of reacting to a ball coming at you by catching it

I'm going to try out P90X. Not sure if I'll do the lifting ones since I have been given a good routine by a friend of mine for that. I'm really interested in the ab one and some of the yoga crap that is supposed to be really hard. How is that working out for you so far?

Also, I was thinking of trying swimming, I have no idea where a pool that I could use is though.

The Yoga is asininely hard. It's 90 minutes, for one. I usually quit after the first hour because I just feel completely out of it. I'm a tall inflexible **** though, you might do better with it. I would definitely do it though.

I really like the Kenpo cardio. It's a lot like kickboxing, super fast paced for an hour, you'll sweat your ass off. But the plyo for P90X is what is really beneficial.

The Yoga workout in P90X is very hard, at least for those of us with not much flexibility left :)

But Tony has said many times if he could only do one workout it would be yoga.

What equipment do you need to do the yoga, ab and cardio stuff? Anything?

I know a few guys who have gotten into soccer a little bit.

I'm going to get a Microsoft Kinect and try out the dance and fitness games for the days I don't get to hoop. I eat like crap and it's not my weight I worry about (165), it's my heart. I gotta stop eating fast food, man. For real.

I'd say just a mat and a towel.

How much space do you need to do stuff like Kenpo. I just got divorced, so I'm in a tiny apartment at the moment.

SupremeHustle: I too had a problem with fast food, and you'd never know it. 6 ft 165 lbs. I'm only 23, but have a history of heart troubles on my dads side. I've done a lot of reading on how to stop craving the ****. I've been making these fresh green smoothies every day and honestly they've changed my life. Feel so much better and I never crave a burger from a FF joint or anything else for that matter.

Got started on greenforlife.com. Has 15 easy to make recipes. I've branched out to improvising my own, and adding hemp protein to supplement my workouts. I'd look into it.

Not much room at all for Kenpo. You are basically kicking and punching. As long as you can extend your legs in each direction without hitting anything you're good.

Yoga blocks, if you have them, are good if you are new to yoga.

Also, I've found Kenpo to be not nearly as good of a cardio workout as plyo so once I did it a few times I started wearing weighted gloves (3 pounds each). Makes it much harder. I may add ankle weights at some point.

I'm guessing you don't need anything for plyo as well?

Nothing for plyo. Just mat, water, towel. Oh and a chair for one move, but you could do it without.

I would recommend pushup bars of some kind because you do so many. Easier on the wrists. Tony designed some that are for sale on beachbody.com. They aren't cheap but they are well made and they are angled, which I personally like. If you ever do P90X+ they are needed for Upper Plus. Actually you can just use dumbbells instead of pushup bars if necessary.
