I was disgusted by this as he should be on the list. He still might be chosen by the coaches anyway. He should have been on the ballot instead of Memo with Jefferson listed as a center but the league officials dont seem to follow their own league. If they did, they would have known Memo was out for half the season and Jefferson going to play center and Millsap PF.

DWILL and Millsap should be on the allstar team. Dwill should actually be a starter on that team. If the Jazz keep up their winning ways, it should happen.

You beat me to this thread. I cant believe AK and Memo are on it over Millsap.

I guess Millsap is used to being overlooked.

They make the all-star ballot selections before the season even starts. Pretty (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

JA Adande is pissed too.

Trevor Arizia, Caron Butler, Turkelou, and hell, even Andrei and Al being on the ballot over Jefferson is just enraging.

You meant Millsap? :P

But yeah, it's crazy they base the selection on last seasons' status. Bynum and Boozer haven't played at all this season, and Yao bare played yet all are on the list.

Apparently he doesn't care but I think we all know better than that....just can't wait to see him tear the NBA a new one for the rest of the season...

six dudes prepare the all-star ballot, Ian Thomsen of Sports Illustrated, J.A. Adande of ESPN.com, Art Garcia of NBA.com, Marc Spears of yahoo.com, Marv Albert, and Doug Smith of torontostar.com.

here's doug smith's reasoning

Any reasonable person wouldn't tell themselves what Millsap is doing isn't All-Star quality.

He wouldn't have gotten voted in, hopefully it's a motivator.

Do you guys really expect Paul to get in? I like him as a player and you guys did a nice job matching the offer sheet but he is no all star. Can't we all agree on that?

Blazer fan here.

Millsap not being on the ballot obviously is ridiculous (I mean Grant Hill among others is in it) sucks for him, but it's awesome for you guys. I predict 25/12/3 for him over the next month. :)

And he's going to come back as an even better player next season.

Which is bad for the Blazers though...

No, we can't. Starter? No, definitely not. The outrage is just about how stupid it is for him not to at least be listed, considering the quality of some of the other candidates. But it's not a pipe dream to see him being an All Star, as voted in by the coaches.
