Donte Greene to start against New Jersey

Post#1 » by king125 » Fri Nov 19, 2010 10:22 am

Just read on Sactownroyalty that Donte will start at the 3 for the foreseeable future. Starters will be Dally, Landry, Greene, Head, Evans

Come on PW your almost there. Cisco at the 2, and Cousins at the 4 and I might start to believe you have a clue on what your doing.

Dally/JT
Cousins/Landry
Greene/Casspi
Cisco/Beno
Evans/Beno

PW and greene's relationship is bipolar. I hope Donte makes the most of this.

This was a move soley on GP behalf. Also, Coach Ellie suggested a lineup of:

Cousins/Dally
JT/Landry
Donte/Casspi
Head/Cisco
Evans/Beno

With Jackson and Wright getting foul trouble minutes. He believes the only way for Cousins to be dominate is as a starter playing through the fouls and adjusting to the refs. He also believes that the team could really use an athletic guard who can slash and finish hard around the basket.

Call me crazy :D lol, but Iverson in a Kings uni next summer?? (Random) I wouldn't be apposed to the Kings going for Iverson and [Prince(S&T) for Landry] next summer.

This is puzzling, a guy going from the doghouse to the starting lineup directly? The only explanation is that the injury rumors are real and he's healed now, what I don't get why is PW so **** set on starting Landry, and what does Head bring to the table? You want to bench Beno, fine, start Garcia, just don't put a 6'3" SF at the PG position.

This makes no sense. My guess is that they want to trade him and are trying to showcase him for other teams. And Head? What? His shot is off as hell and Udrih and Evans have great chemistry. Udrih is having his best year ever. Maybe they're looking to showcase and trade Head too? I wouldn't be surprised if Thompson starts getting a ton of minutes now as well for the same reason.

Sure we're losing, but it's not because Udrih and Casspi were starting. Maybe stop playing Antoine Wright and tell your players to stop fouling so much?

The line up PW just set out is the kind that can get a coach fired. And so the annual "I'm pissed at the Kings" phase begins.

Are you watching these games? They are getting killed by the opposing PG and SF on a nightly basis. Beno & Omri need to play better D to be on the floor.

While I agree that Head makes no sense (should be Garcia's spot IMHO), Beno is not having a good year at all. Defensively getting trashed game after game.

Greene starting brings me much joy. Please Westphal, give him at least 10 games before you yank him again.

It seems like Beno has a good season every other season. He's trash now, but he'll be a top 5 PG next season, just you watch.

Although Udrih is having a decent year offensively this is completely negated by his play on the defensive end. He literally gets abused by quicker, stronger point guards. Did you watch the DET game or the NYK game? Both Felton and the Pistons guards went to work on Udrih it was seriously ridiculous. So far this year he has been a defensive liability and defense is half the game.

Well, I agree with the idea that Cousins should start. I know we don't get the defense Daly brings, but if Cousins plays D like he did in the last game we'll be more than fine. I re-watched the game and big man was moving side to side like a guard!! He was working hard on that end, we need to see more of that. Bottom line is we are a much better team with not only Cousins on the floor but when a good chunk of the offense is running through him. Should it be any different though? His damn face is hanging on the side of the damn arena for craps sake! hahahaha.
