GT: Spurs vs. Jazz

Post#1 » by Nolan » Fri Nov 19, 2010 4:51 pm

When: 9:00 PM ET, November 19, 2010
Where: EnergySolutions Arena, Salt Lake City, UT

Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Manu Ginobli
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Dejuan Blair

Jazz:
PG - Deron Williams
SG - Raja Bell
SF - Andrei Kirilenko
PF - Paul Milsap
C - Al Jefferson

We're off to our best start to the season in over 20 years and lets hope we can keep it going tonight against the Jazz. The key to this game is going to be stopping Milsap and Jefferson from getting easy scores in the paint. On the offensive end we have to do our best to get Milsap and Jefferson into foul trouble. The Jazz don't have a lot of depth in the paint and we need to exploit that weakness.

Tim Duncan only needs 13 points to surpass David Robinson's for 2nd on the Spurs all time scoring list.

Injuries:
- James Anderson will be out for us.
- Mehmet Okur will be out for the Jazz with an achilles injury.
- Jerry Sloan will also miss this game for the Jazz to attend a funeral.

Go Spurs!!

This is a THE test Spurs need to confirm their great record so far.
This Jazz team is good, taugh and play good defense. We will need our shoters to be sharp tonight so as we can open the floor. Also rebounds are a big key to win the game.

I hope that Spurs players are willing to take some revange from the 0-4 games from last season.
Big game tonight!

GO Spurs GO!!!

As long as the Spurs let the Jazz lead going into the fourth, they should be okay.

Parker's having a great game. He's the reason we're winning this one.

Not good for the Spurs. They have the lead in the fourth.

Blair's having a good game tonight on both ends tonight. Hopefully he can keep this up.

Great win tonight. Lately we've been beating good teams and we've been beating them badly, we're looking really good right now. Parker, Duncan and Blair played great tonight.

Our defense is looking much much better.

Duncan has a great defensive game, but continues to struggle offensively. He's missing the type of shots that we're used to seeing over the years. It's almost like he's lacking some lift from his legs when he shoots.

This was actually a game that I thought we'll lose. I'm really glad we took this one. No NBA sites have really talked about us yet despite the winning streak. I wonder if it'll happen today after we beat Utah.

I'm guessing it'll all be about how Miami nearly blew the lead againts Charlotte.
