NCAA Week 12

Post#1 » by chuckleslove » Fri Nov 19, 2010 4:33 pm

So they are only using one end zone in the Illinois vs Northwestern game this weekend, very strange. Figured this was a good time to get Week 12 under way.

http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/ncf/n ... id=5824661

Important games for the Badgers:

First and foremost they need to win @ Michigan

Michigan State plays at home against Purdue, I see no way they lose but it would be nice for Purdue to pull off a surprise.

Ohio St plays @ Iowa, sadly we need Ohio St to win, preferably by a very small margin in an ugly game.

LSU plays Ole Miss at home and Stanford plays @ CAL. I don't see either losing so hopefully they both win tight games, a loss would again be preferable much like MSU.

Boise St. plays Fresno St. at home, a loss would open up another at large spot in the BCS so that would be nice, not likely but Fresno St. isn't terrible.

The rest of the games just minor for SOS.

That's the weirdest thing ever, but I suppose watching on TV it's not something that would really bother me.

We just need to focus all our energy on Michigan. Denard Robinson scares me a lot and you know the home crowd is going to he hyped for a chance to beat a top 10 team. I've been fearing this game ever since we beat Iowa.

Now call me crazy but I'm optimistic about Stanford @ Cal.

Even if we don't blow Michigan out I could see us passing them.

A NW win helps us a little bit since we play them next week and don't play ILL. Definitely need Ohio State to win, but not in a blowout. No way Purdue wins.

Michigan is my least favorite Big Ten team, I want to beat them badly.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Well Cedarburg was clearly overmatched PackGophZagMqtsdoifjoasfj0sd9ajf0as. Waunakee is a tank, we kept it close for a half.

The other would be Va Tech beating Miami at home.

The good news is that in every significant game that Wisconsin needs in order to improve their Rose Bowl chances, their rooting interest is favored.

I'll be at Wrigley tomorrow. Even with the end zone fiasco, it should still be a fun day.

Hopefully Illinois can get bowl eligible against NW's backup QB. I'm not counting on it, though. Pat Fitzgerald >>>>>>>>>>>>> Ron Zook

That's pretty sick. I think this is a pretty cool idea, even despite the end zone deal. I'm sure Wrigleyville is going to be hopping before and after, wish I could experience it.

Why did they not make the field North and South? They would have 400 feet from home plate to center field to fit the field. Instead they go from the 3rd base line to the wall in right field which is barely 360 feet. Did they not plan this out at all before they decided where to put the field?

My guess is that they did it the way they did for viewing angles.

And it completely backfired because now people on that side of the field aren't going to see anybody come to that side of the field.

Pray for a interception or fumble return for a TD?

Alright now that MSU barely won again it's time for Cal to blow a game-winning field goal against Stanford, Mississippi to lose by 2 to LSU, and OSU to lose at the last second.

If Miami keeps winning, something tells me that the only way we can make the Rose Bowl is Penn State winning next week.

This NU-IL game is kind of cool. Need IL to beat the spread...
