Trade: Jack,Banks &Hobo for Peja and Bayless (confirmed)

Post#1 » by Pistol Pete Vescey » Sat Nov 20, 2010 8:17 am

There's a thread on the GB that says (according to a Greek website, apparently "very reliable": http://sport24.gr/Basket/USA/NBA/paei_k ... 45387.html) the Hornets are sending Peja/Bayless for Jack/Andersen/Banks.

They claim "world exclusivity" about this news.

Hoax?

*edit* I changed the thread title, but the trade is still waiting for league approval. Yogi

Peja's got an expiring contract so it wouldn't be that bad, but I don't think Bayless can be included in a package deal as he was just traded recently. (I guess they could make it a 2 part deal to get around that though).

Bayless is a younger, worse version of Jack with a little bit more athleticism, Jack is stronger though. If this trade does happen to be true, I'm not sure how I feel about it. I hope BC is not looking at other teams benches to find our dynamic point guard. Irving or bust. :-D

Why would say BC tell Greek Media of all sources about an impeding trade he is doing before anyone around BC even notices? You think at least a rumour would pop up first somewhere. Guess wait a day or two, but I call hoax.

Odd, doesn't really make sense for us, does it? Who's going to be the backup pg? Bayless?

Wouldn't mind if it happend, but I don't think Jack/Anderson/Banks does it alone.

It's about time Jack played in a playoff team. I don't know much about Jerryd. BC needs to stop thinking that some bust will explode in his system. It doesn't happen.

You think he's good enough to start? Can't say I know much about him.

We get youth, a huge expiring... I don't see a problem in who starts or not.

If true (BIG if) great salary dump move, but the team would have no backup C or PG so it would obviously be the precursor to either complete tanking or another move.

Doesnt make any sense unless Jack plays the 2. He can play 30 mins a game and is too young to be backing up Chris Paul.

Barbosa/Bayless would do the back-up PG.
Dorsey/Amir/Reggie would be the back up C by committee

This link was worth it for the headline alone:

Yeah thats what gets me too, they got:

Paul/Thornton
Beli/Green

They are doing to well I think to do a move like this.
