As a Magic fan, I was able to see glimpses of Darko's potential in Orlando, but he absoultely nailed it himself -- it's just about being able to do it consistently. I'm glad he had a good night and I'd like to see him excel as he still has plenty of time to have a successful career (and I like watching the Wolves play.) I wish I would have caught the game, but I may go back and watch it yet.

So I left the game with 4:30 seconds left. Me and my buddy went to eat at Huberts, to see the end of the Minnesota game. While I was waiting for my food Nick Swardson walked right up next to me and my buddy, to check out the game. I couldn't believe when I saw him, he was wearing a Wolves hat, got to shake his hand, he seemed cool.

If Milicic can consistently score 12 pts, 7-8 rebounds, 2 assist, 2-3 blocks per game, everybody would be very happy.

yeah but I'd be twice as happy if he put up 20-10-5-5 every night

But then again the ball has to go around too. I rather have Beasley average 20-22ppg, Love 15-17ppg then Milicic 12ppg so that others can get their shots too.

I'm fine with 5 and 7 if he plays great defense

yea I guess I should preface that w/ assuming that 5 is a result of not touching the ball and concentrating on d, and not because of going 2 for 12

I would have been fine with that, but after I see Darko taking it to one the top 2 or 3 bigs in the NBA, it seems like he should be capable of so much more.

- darko was obviously dominant..great game chief!!

- martell would have been HUGE to have this game, the 3rd quarter was terrible offensively...we kept hanging around at 10-13 points and were jacking up 3's or long jumpers on nearly every possession, many of them were open looks but still bad shot selection.

- love wasn't getting it done on offense and it seemed to effect his effort level, he seemed like he wasn't playing as hard as he could or trying to help in other areas. artest did a fantastic job on him though and was locking him up on every rebound. he did have some nice passes in the 4th quarter. as i mentioned a while ago..the guy is NOT a three point shooter. he should not be shooting ANY let alone 3 a game. he has shot about 30% over the last two season and his fg% has been dragged down significantly this year because of it. him shooting three's is NOT conducive to us winning games, take a page out of josh smith's book and STOP SHOOTING THREE'S

- the refereeing on kobe bryant was honestly the worst piece of ****ing **** i have ever ****ing seen. the offensive foul call that got over turned was completely disgusting and his missed lay up that got called about 5 seconds after the play was a load of **** too. anyone who sneezes on him gets called for something, it's ridiculous.

- we needed shot makers tonight and smarter decisions defensively. i SCREAMED at i think brewer(EDIT: saw replay, it was BEASLEY) when he left barnes(who was 5-5 at the time) to double team pau(who was working against darko and had done NOTHING 1-on1) - pau kicks out to WIDE open barnes for three which broke our backs. stupid decision.

I agree that not getting it done on offense or not getting a ton of boards effects Kevin's effort level, but I disagree that he should never shoot threes. He should never force contested threes, but no player should. He's shooting 31.4% on the season from 3, which puts him currently ahead of the following elite players in 3 pt %: Dirk Nowitzki, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Joe Johnson. Do you think that none of those players should EVER shoot a 3? When Love has a wide open three, it's a good shot for him, and a good shot for the offense, that he shouldn't pass up.

I would be fine with that too, but I think as he gets more comfortable and as teams game plan around Love and Beasley more and more, I think Darko will assert himself a bit more on the offensive end and maybe average close to 10 points on the season. 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.5 blocks would be awesome.

I think Love has to take threes too, he can't do much off the dribble or back to the basket at this point, that 3 pointer is something he has to do to make himself useful out there. I'd be fine if he developed into a better passing and rebounding version of Okur

party.
Nick swardson Minnesota comedian/actor.
extremely hit or miss.
got some solid stand up bits.
he has a show "pretend time" with nick swardson never seen it.

cool to hear he's a minny fan. we still need a Jack Nicholson though.

how long of a flight is it LA to Minny if it's under 5 hours maybe we can get a celeb hooked and convince him to come down for big games.

Billy Crystal could work

Swardson is a stand up comedian. He has his own sketch show on Comedy Central too. I'm pretty sure he's from Minnesota.

Edit: looks like I was beat to it.

Michael Beasley scored a game-high 25 points for the Timberwolves in their Friday night home loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, who got five points from the guy who guarded him, Ron Artest.

But Artest wasn't impressed with Beasley.

"Beasley should watch (Miami star) LeBron James," Artest said. "Beasley's actually a better shooter than LeBron, but the smarts are not there. He's talking so much trash instead of worrying about the game. He needs to become a winner."

How's that?

"It's just the way you play, his awareness on the court; somebody should have told him," Artest said. "He should learn to pass, who to pass to, how to attack to make his teammates better. Then he'll be super tough.

This was my favorite part:
Artest said Beasley needs to learn another move on the court.

"He's so athletic and quick and strong," he said. "But eventually somebody's going to catch on to it."

Beasley, told of Artest's single-move comment, said, "The reason I do the same thing is because they can't stop it. As soon as they stop it, I'll do something else."

Perfect response from Beaz. LOL @ Artest, sounds like he's bitter that someone hung 25 on him.

And "drink before each game, choke a fan" Artest had so much poise and intelligence at that age.

Beasely will be fine, he will get better and better, hes only 21, lets not get too bent out of shape at what an elite defender says at this time.
"That's why the last two years weren't guaranteed," Walsh said. "Either way, he knew it could have happened either way."
