Esposito has a lot of talent and potential. Although rated low I think he'll go higher then expected.

I can kind of see it. He's got the skill, the hands and the playmaking capabilities. But I don't see hime being as effective as Spezza once he does get to the league. This is one of the main reasons I don't see him falling this far.

Hes a great defenseman he will be a great pro i know it.

I have seen him live, since I live in Calgary and hitmen tickets are not to expensive.

Alzner is a very special talent. However I think he is rated fine where he is. Definitely a top 10 talent and arguably a top 5 talent in this years draft.

Wow, Esposito has really dropped since I last checked. Gagner as well. I wasn't all that impressed with Gagner at the worlds, but I can't really comment on him not having seen him play anywhere else.

I really hope thats not how the draft will end up according to position. Last year, the draft ended up being exactly similar to the ISS rankings at the top of the list, so I guess that extolls the value of the ISS

Thanks UTM...I updated the rankings as of April 2007. As stated in my original thread, I'm going to continue on and add April in with March to see how the rankings have changed.

Would someone who knows a bit about these prospects (or possibly may have seen them play) be able to give rough player comparisons to current NHL'ers??

It'd be very much appreciated not just by me but likely the entire board... thanks.

Yeah, from now until the draft..I'll be posting player profiles with strength's and weaknesses, to go along with comparisons.

I was really impressed by JVR at the under 18 tournament and would not be surprised at all if he turns out to be as good as Rick Nash.
