Game# 10 Ravens at Carolina

Post#1 » by ohara » Sun Nov 21, 2010 9:48 pm

37 - 13. Yep, it was tough for Mr. St. Pierre today. We were hanging in there at 20 - 13 after he threw an 88 yrd TD to Gettis. Then a Raven FG and 2 straight Pick 6 INT's later it is 37 - 13.

Good news was Goodson. 22 rushes for 120 yards against a good Raven Defense. Man, we have 3 good RB's. Makes me think that one of them may be dealt for a Draft pick in 2011 Draft. We will likely have the #1 pick, but we gave up our 2nd rounder for Armanti Edwards - how damn stupid is that seeming right now.

We have four if you count Sutton, who I think has always been underrated coming out of college.

Brian played well until those back-to-back interceptions. That's Jake Delhomme five interceptions in the playoffs embarrassing. I was upset that Fox didn't play Pike on the last two possessions; the game was lost, why not play the rookie? Still, for someone that was throwing ball to high school kids until this week, he played well.

Goodson played well as I expected him too. Williams is going to be a free agent so we'll probably (as with Peppers) lose him with no compensation besides one of those late round draft picks the league hands out.

Armanti probably would have been available in the 6th or 7th round (who else was going to draft him?) and that was nothing more than an impulse decision by Hurney. Since we're lining up to get the first pick (Buffalo won), we basically gave up a first-rounder for a guy that's made no impact this year. If I had to make any predictions, Williams will walk, they'll consider trading Stewart, Moore will be released or traded, and they'll probably trade Steve Smith. I also wouldn't put it past them to trade the first pick for several lower picks to save money. But it all depends on who's coaching next year and if Hurney returns.

If I had my preference, I would keep Williams and trade Stewart for a high pick. Let Goodson back up Williams. I really would not want to let Williams just walk with no compensation for him. Would be a shame.

We better draft Andrew Luck, as right now we are set for the first pick of the nfl draft

We won't. If we get the first pick and if we decide to use it, I doubt we'll take a QB with our investment in Clausen. It all depends on the coaching staff.

Vince Young is probably done in Tennessee. I wouldn't mind trading the first pick for Young, Tennessee's first, and a third or something. Same goes for Carson Palmer; swap picks with Cincy and nab Palmer for doing the swap. If Cowher comes, I can't see him using Clausen or Moore next year.
