Star of the Game vs Hornets 11/22/10

Post#1 » by mkwest » Tue Nov 23, 2010 6:31 am

Win number 2 was against Chris Paul's Hornets who we have lost 14 straight to prior to tonight's game.

EJ and Griffin both had a huge part of this win. I went with Griffin for his clutch play. He grabbed timely rebounds and scored some crucial points. This is a game where we did everything we could to lose, but that was still better than the Hornets. The only thing that made this game close was free-throws. Gordon missed 3 and Griffin missed 8, but both hit some big ones down when they mattered most.

I went with ej. Hitting crucial free throws and just staying aggresive as he's always been this year. Props to gomes for making his only two points of the game a huge part of keeping us ahead.

Brian Cook played so well in the 3rd & 4th periods that he actually finished the game. Cook was stealing/blocking/pestering/shooting, he did a very good job.

Brian Cook (not laughing) is my player of the game.

Kinda OT, but your announcers are cool, i'm a new league pass user, they have a great sense of humor, and i like how they tease each other. Griffin is a beast, gl for the season, looks like you might add another important piece next summer through the draft. That's not the worst thing in the world.

I'm going with Griffin, he hit some big baskets in the end and was able to pull down rebounds.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

If anyone was at the game, I am sure they will tell you the sparkplug was COOK.

Cook was instrumental in the Win & he will get more playing time b/c of it.

I actually thought about him a little bit when I read the thread. He did make some big plays for us in the 2nd half. Props to him as well.

Yep, strange as it sounds i originally became a clippers fan because of ralph lawler lol. I don't even mind plugging through blowout losses because usually ralph and mike are pretty good at keeping it interesting

I was at this game and when Rasual got the ball stolen by CP3 I was about to throw up.

Another thing I noticed is Blake's jumpshot is underrated.
There is still a little bit of fine tuning that could be done but it's money.
He made like 15 , 20 footers in a row during warmups.

He had nice form last summer, but was shooting while descending. He has improved a lot this year, but it is still a work in progress. Thankfully, he is more than willing to keep working on it.
