Defense, hustle, guards penetration, spot up 3's, that's the total package of a team, if the raptors had Coach K we would be a playoff team every single goddamn year.

I think Bryan has been watching Kyrie in action, hence the Jack trade. I wouldn't be surprised to see Barbosa go for surgery, Peja being bought out and Reggie being traded very shortly. I think Jose is gone as well if we get a shorter deal.

Charlotte needs to get on that Jose/Diaw deal asap, they look terrible.

FWIW there was approximately 43 scouts at the CBE Tourney (the one that Duke won). Good chance the Raptors had someone there.

I agree. Not just Kyrie, I think BC realizes that this is a PG heavy draft (hopefully) that could really help us. If not Kyrie, one of the other PGs. In a couple months, once Jose is playing starters minutes full-time, he'll become a tradable asset (in theory) if he can put up numbers like a couple years ago.

By tradable asset, I mean he could be traded for an expiring.

DraftExpress Jonathan Givony
Not sure I need to watch Kyrie Irving much more this year. Seen all I need to see. Guy is a stud, and is only going to get better all season

I don't think the Raptors should draft a point guard just for the sake of it. Unless it's Irving, I'd rather we go with someone like Terrence Jones over Brandon Knight. Not sure about Harrison Barnes - he seems soft.

If everyone declares, the draft should be at least be 7 deep.

Kyrie Irving
Harrison Barnes
Perry Jones
Jared Sullinger
Terrence Jones
Brandon Knight
Enes Kanter

And that's not factoring potential surprises like Josh Selby and Kemba Walker. Could be a solid draft.

Yup, seeing as how BC really loves his Point Guards, I wouldn't be surprised to see more tanking moves in the near future in order to get the highest pick possible.

Kyrie seems to be a game changer and someone that would fit into this team seamlessly.

I like the idea of drafting Irving. I like BC's trade for Bayless now even better, for there's no guarantee we could draft him; even though we could, Bayless can simply be used for the time being as an experiment to see how the team work with an athletic PG.

Kyrie looks every bit like a can't miss prospect, he'll be gone by the 3rd pick no question about it. If we lose the lottery and select 5th or 6th I would be into swapping our pick and the Miami pick to move up for Kyrie. Hell I might even throw in Alabi...

Call me crazy but I think Bayless is going to thrive in this environment. And who knows if he ends up being the guy maybe we don't draft Kyrie, maybe we try and grab that big center Kanter? (I can't believe I just said that)

I doubt the Miami pick + Alabi is enough to get you from 5th to top 3.

Perhaps... I think it boils down to who is selecting and what their needs are. They could be eyeing someone who is not projected to go in the top 3. In which case they can save money, grab a prospect and another pick. It always depends.

Think some of you are going to be disappointed in that the Raps will not finish low enough to draft high enough to draft KI unless they are spectacularly lucky in the lottery. Always gems throughout the draft - trick is to identify them.

You're right I will be VERY disappointed if we aren't at least in the running for a top 3 selection. It will prove my suspicions to be correct, that BC doesn't know what he's doing.

If not Kyrie Irving, I like Terrence Jones for us. Dude is averaging 20 and 10 as a 3/4. I think Colangelo would love his versatility, considering that he's had Marion, Turk, and Diaw in the past. Terrence Jones seems like he can play both SF and PF, and would fit in well in the frontcourt with Andrea Bargnani.

Oh, and I agree with Jon Givony - I think I've already seen what I needed to see from Irving. Let's just focus on other prospects, b/c you know he'll be on the top of most teams' wishlist.

I didn't know much about Terrence Jones until this tournament... and now I have fell in love
with his game and his intangibles.

With Harrison Barnes and Perry Jones lackluster play so far I won't be to heart broken if we pick
in the 5-10 range.

Not sure why T-Jones isn't on Draft Express mock yet maybe they don't think he will declare?

And imagine no freshmen declare due to lockout...oh man, the 2012 draft would be filled up with ultra-talents.

Jared Sullinger
Terrence Jones
Brandon Knight
Enes Kanter
Andre Drummond
Quincy Miller
Austin Rivers
Michael Gilchrist
