Not really. We're a multi-faceted team and always have been, even when TD was the man.

Manu has been amazing this year but I don't think Pop's approach involves one go-to guy.

Locally he may be, but for the un-barring community? No.

I think everyone has settled on kind of a role here.

Parker is the engine through out the game. He controls the tempo and everything.

Duncan is the defensive anchor.

Manu is the closer. Game on the line, it's Manu's time.

Nose of the franchise maybe? Or how about the bald spot of the franchise?

I remember a comment made by the announcers during the Magic game about how Pop said Jameer Nelson was the head of the snake for Orlando and when the reporters asked him "What about Dwight?", Pop answered in his unique style: "They are a two-headed snake." I swear, I laughed my ass off. So, you could look at it like that - we are a multi-faced franchise, Manu is as much a leader as Tony and Timmy, each of them leads in different ways.

This will be Duncan's team until his retired. Ginobli and Parker are great but they wouldn't be where they are now without Duncan and Pop.

reason why this is a respectable franchise in my eyes.

i think many organizations have a lot to learn from the Spurs, and can to certain extents, but fail to do so continuously.

He is the MVP of the franchise the last year for sure, and this year to, he is the leader of this group, verbal and with his play and in some point is the face of the team, but... like "the expert" said, this is Duncan“s Team for quiet a time, but the lack of charisma and character of Duncan plays in favor of Manu, he has plenty of this 2!!!

When they made a poll between rookies before the draft, Spurs was the franchise that most kids chose.. That is BIG for a small market team without any prime star..

Also, the slogan says: "Once a Spurs, allways a Spurs"..

Duncan will be the face of the franchise until he retires. Is he currently the best player on the Spurs? No. Manu has established himself as the best player on the team with his play this year. In fact, he's probably been the best player on the team since '08. Injuries have prevented him from holding onto that label.

Your organization has been the best overall organization in the last 15 years. It is filled with classy people from top to bottom. And it's about time that Obi Wan Ginobili gets some well deserved recognition!

He isn't the face, but he very well might be the heart of the team. He plays balls out all the time and when he is on, it is very hard for us to lose a game.

I think most people think of him as a star but there are so many times that can't be measured in his play that goes beyond the boxscore. I only hope that he is healthy enough for the playoff run.

Manu is playing MVP basketball. I'd be happy with an All-Star appearance.

Actually, Duncan is very outspoken in the huddle. You just have to look at the sidelines. Duncan is the first person off the bench and leads the player huddles.

I'd be surprised if Manu doesn't make the allstar team. If anybody on our team deserve it, it's Manu. More than Parker or Duncan.

I agree, it does look like Manu is the vocal leader of this team this year. He's taking more and more leadership control on this team. I'd even say that this year, the Spurs is Manu's team. Just like how in 2008 it was arguably Tony Parker's team.
