Hey I was just wondering... im an outside fan... not from Indiana or New Orleans. But I remember him tearing it up with stats and being a scoring machine(also a T/O machine) in NO while CP3 was out.
And I thought Indiana had a great pick up when they got him in a trade.. but judging from stats (like i said im an outside fan so I could be completely wrong) he seems to be having a decent to solid year so far. Does anyone know why his stats hasn't been the same as last year? I know hes has a couple of good scoring games and solid assist numbers. But they haven't been the 30 pt 16 ast games from last year.
Is it just the system?? Or is he actually having a great impact that the stats arent showing?

Re: Question about Darren Collison
There are a few factors.
Firstly the Hornets assist stats are inflated by the "generous" assist rules they have down there.
Secondly DC is a second year guard and is learning a totally new offensive system where he has to play off the ball as effectively as with it so it is still very early to judge and compare to last season. All the players are still getting used to each other
He also missed 3 or so games due to injury.
And our coach is big on playing veterans so you will see that he and TJ Ford pretty much split their time evenly or pretty close to it, and TJ often finishes games.
So in summary it is a product of our system, DC still learning the system and players and last years "inflated" stats
But this is my opinion only
