GT: Mavs vs. Spurs

Post#1 » by Nolan » Fri Nov 26, 2010 11:21 pm

When: 8:30 PM ET, November 26, 2010
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX

Image

VS

Image

Starting Lineups:

Mav's:
PG - Jason Kidd
SG - DeShawn Stevenson
SF - Caron Butler
PF - Dirk Nowitzki
C - Tyson Chandler

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Manu Ginobli
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Dejuan Blair

This our first game against the Mav's this year and their first chance to try to avenge their loss to us in the playoffs. We've won 12 straight games and that's our longest winning streak in 3 years. The Mav's are going to be a tough matchup and always the key to the game is going to be stopping Dirk, if we can do that we can win the game.

Go Spurs!!

*fixed my dumb mistake.

Tks Nolan!!

I'm not sure you can stop Dirk, so for me it's more important to guard his teammates. Right now, i see Dice being out best big to guard him and it's not even a very good match up..So, let's focus con the others.

Unless we have a good shooting night, i don't have a good feeling about this game.. That OT wasn't good for our legs..

I'm going to miss this match and that sucks, but i hope i can watch it later..

Go Spurs Go!

Dirk has had some big games lately.

Love playing these guys, the games are usually hard fought and competitive.

I've got this one pegged as a loss.

If this game is played at Dallas, I would mark this as a 100% loss.

Considering it's at home, it's 50-50.

1) Last year we lost to Suns in playoffs not Dallas.

2) We are playing the best basketball in NBA so far this season and we will continue doing that tonight by beating the Mavs.

If we lose, i'm blaming Nolan.

It's karma.. we shouldn't have won that Minnesota game because there was no GT.

Lol I kinda got that backwards. Ment to say that it was Dallas's first chance at revenge.

Blair starting poorly. Gave an open jumper to Dirk, and a 3 second defensive call.

Nevermind. Just got an offensive rebound. Feed tim Duncan for a point blank shot.

Foul trouble could be an issue in this game.

Manu, Tony, and Tim each have one just 3 minutes into the game.

Chandler's getting a lot of point blank shots/dunks.

Tony Parker foul trouble. picked up 2 in first quarter.

Manu is ready to play today. 13 points.

Turnovers might also be a problem today. Already with 5 in the 1st quarter.

I like it before Udoka was signed that Manu or Tony is playing with the 2nd team. One of the big 3 is always on the floor. Now that Pop has his backup SF, we have an all bench team on the floor. Hill, Neal, Udoka, Bonner, Splitter.

Isn't Splitter as tall as Duncan? Why does it seem like his arm is way shorter than Duncan's?

One thing I just noticed about Splitter is that he tends to bring the ball below his waist perhaps trying to explode for a dunk. Needs to learn from Duncan on keeping the ball high and just lay it in. It allows the guards to slap around and the defense to recover. Just takes to long by gathering himself like that.

What the hell just happened?

Tony Parker got the ball in the low block... backs down Jason Terry and turn around for a hook shot and makes it? New low post game?

We're likely to lose this game. 2 minutes left in the game, Spurs down 5 and what we do is just turning the ball over again and again.

Our streak is over. Turnover was a big problem especially in the last few minutes of the game. That was the ball game. Couldn't stop Dirk. He shot 11 of 13.

Well, Spurs were favored to win by 4 and I bet on Dallas so atleast I won some money. Wasn't much... Just 5 bucks. I had a feeling we'll lose this game tonight.

Return to San Antonio Spurs
