I'm pretty sure everyone here loathes the Lakers to the marrow of their bones. It's just that not everyone's gonna be a riotous prick about it.

Tell me now, what do you get from bridging the gap?

Phil Jackson is to the Lakers like Kurt Warner was to the Cardinals.. sorta. If Phil retires it totally destroys the playoff invincibility aura of the Lakers, sorta like how Warner leaving completely destroyed the Cardinals

No one "gets" anything out of it. People just choose to comport themselves in different ways. That's like saying, "What do you get out of it if you're polite to the cashier at Target?"

There are times when Al Jefferson has a wide open basket and I want him to make a statement dunk. He would do it in preseason I wonder how much his finger is bothering him.

I love hearing Jackson **** about the shot clock. So funny... it had nothing to do with them losing. They lost because they were too stupid to run some plays for Kobe and let Artest chuck up a couple shots instead.

BTW, I made sure to pay close attention to Phil during the game since I was sitting right down by the bench... he more than confirmed my belief that he is the most over-rated coach of all time. He hardly pays attention to the game unless he has something to moan about (which is almost always something stupid) and he doesn't even come over to talk to the team until the last 15-30 seconds of timeouts. They should be calling delay of games on them all game long....they stand in a huddle for 30-45 seconds after the buzzer sounds for the timeout to end. Jackson is such a pathetic, over-rated POS. I can't stand the guy and I have zero respect for him.

He has to have someone to blame other than himself. Letting the ball out of Kobes hands was inexcusable.

On a related note, the Utah Jazz organization is going to end the short-lived fan favorite program titled "Be a shot clock operator for a home game, no previous experience required. No seriously, you don't need to know a thing about basketball or simple electronics, just have fun pressing buttons! Enjoy all the beer you want on us." The Jazz have no comments on the program or its participants.

laker/kobe fan here guys! congrats on the win. The shot clock thing was annoying. I made a thread in gb about dwill being the kobe of his position and he proved me right again. Great win for you guys and stay healthy for the playoffs!

Like what i said before this game i knew the bench would have to be the key if we won!Dwill and Al are starting to find eachother very nicely out there you gotta love it baby!

During the whole shot clock thing the crowd was nuts chanting beat LA! I loved it. DWills three to tie the game had me jump off the coach like we won the finals! Huge win for our boys. When Memo comes back i think we can battle with these guys in a 7 game series! There will be a night down the road where Blake and shannon brown hits their 3s and we will probably not win those games. However it was are defense that forced them to take bad shots alot in that game so i really like how the jazz match up!
