Your worst and best fantasy bball decisions...

Post#1 » by Reginald Wayne » Tue Nov 23, 2010 2:51 am

My worst decision:

I traded Durant for Granger last year. I did it early in the year. Granger had 2 huge games for me..then he got injured. And we all know what Durant did. I finished 3rd.

Best Decision:

2 years ago I traded for Troy Murphy and vince Carter to lock up 3's and Ft% and Rebs (I also had D. Lee) in 9 CAT H2H league just before trade deadline. It was just enough to win a bunch of 5-4 and 6-3 matchups. I won the league

GOOD:
-Getting KG 9th Round
-Trading KG for Jrue Holiday
-Getting Conley 12th Round
-Getting Westbrook 3rd Round

BAD:
-Drafting Marc Gasol 4th Round
-Drafting Nene 5th Round
-Drafting Troy Murphy 6th Round

and my worst fantasy basketball mistake of the year

-Not Drafting Roy Hibbert

Worst this season:

- Dropping Mike Dunleavy after like 1.5 weeks

- Not using my waiver priority to pick up Tyson Chandler, Andris Biedrins, or Boris Diaw (the same guy was in last place so he panicked and dropped them all ) and instead picking up Al-Farouq Aminu since I thought he fit my team better...

Other than that... If I looked back I'm sure I made some terrible draft decisions this year / in years past but I can honestly say I've never made a trade that I regretted.

Worst Decision
- Drafting Brandon Jennings with my last pick in a league last year, and then dropping him before he even played a single game.

- OLD ONE - Trading Deron Williams in a keeper league for Shawn Marion (when he was still considered #1). Then seeing his downfall first hand.

- Picking Tyreke Evans over Russell Westbrook

Best Decisions
- Trading Jason Kidd plus parts for Kevin Durant in a dynasty league a couple of years ago.
- Last season I got Kevin Durant/Russell Westbrook for Chauncey Billups/Brandon Roy which proceeded to me winning the league and a $2,500 grand prize.

I'd say your Best far outweigh your worst. Very good job there.

Trading Parker for Baron to get more assists, only to see Tony begin the year by averaging a career high in assists, and seeing Baron go through another one of these BS injury seasons.

**** me. Traded Jason Thompson for Varejao last week in a dynasty league because I needed immediate production (especially fg%, reb) to make a run at the top.

wasn't my best ever or even for this year, but i traded Devin Harris (and had it already go through) RIGHT before the Net Vs. Knicks game where he got injured and might miss a good amount of time. I got Darren Collison for him. Looking to trade him in a package as we speak, but I knew having Devin harris would result in an injury lol

Ouch.

My worst move as of right now was just drafting OJ Mayo this season
